I know you are receiving hate for this comment, but I have to agree with you on the Bro Code! I have seen this…
I agree. This kind of love triangles only add angst to the story, and add nothing to the plot or character development to a story that is already in need of elements, since the whole plot is going in circles about how the main leads used to love each other, had to break up because of the father, don't get back together because of "trauma" and fear the dad will "hate" them (which he already does) or the mother will get a heart attack or something (That woman has proven to be made of steel diving with a heart condition for 8 years and only one incident), oh and, the FL finding her true call in her hometown or something, dragging, dragging and circles... The plot is not necessarily bad, but is only a few steps away from where things were on earlier episodes. I do like the show, but only because is somewhat "light" I guess, and because I skip Sang Do...
Im liking the drama, tho i really cant stand his dad, disgusting character for sure.
Indeed. While it is true that he is grieving the death of his wife, it was an accident, and hating this family as much as he does would only make his wife extremely sad if she could see all that he has done, including coming between the two that were promised to each other from the day they were born. Anyway, regardless of whatever his reasons are he only knows how to stress everyone around him and impose his own frustration upon others... He, and then Sang Do are the characters that always get on my nerves in this show...
I don't agree with you. Calling that argument "misogyny" is far from reality, because the criticism is not against…
I agree. For example, the male lead must stand to his father now to fight for his relationship with the female lead, but that means that he could've done this from the beginning! Male Lead is not perfect and he also failed at protecting his relationship even when the writers want to paint him as martyr because he broke up to protect others, but he did it at the expense of the Female Lead's heart, which literally broke her, and became one of the reasons why she never looked back. The break up happened after years had passed since the mother died, so male lead should have stood his ground and help his father dealing with his grief earlier which would have been best for everyone, and I highly doubt that any of this would have caused the female lead's mother to have a heart attack... They both have made huge mistakes, and should do better in the present of the really love each other.
The worse part of the story is that she is the one who ran awaybut the writers are not showing any efforts on…
I won't say she is guilty of running away because of the whole problem with the father, however, she is definitely not contributing at all to the relationship with the male lead, when he is supposed to be the only man who she has truly loved or love the most throughout her whole life... I would like to see some effort on her side, but I understand that the Male Lead has to take the lead since the "issue" happened on his side, and they either have to "heal" the father or straight up kill him at this point for things to work between the leads...
I really can't bear the FL personality. At first episode she was so strong and deal with her cheating boyfriend…
I wouldn't blame her on the break up with the male lead, since that was caused by the friction between her family and the male lead's dad, and given that the media only cares about the initial issue, and not about anything else, I understand that getting away from the spotlight was the best move at the moment. However, it is true that she never really appreciated her hometown, since her dream was leave everything and everyone behind to live her best life by herself. Yes, she had every right to be selfish and live her own life, but the victim persona only fits her because she is the lead and nothing else...
???Their so-called "bro code" was never broken, they both talked about it when they were both single. And obviously…
First, I deeply appreciate that we are talking about this. The Bro Code is something writers like to break into so many pieces across all Dramaland, but this one here is a perfect example. It is Okay, if you don't agree with the Bro Code, or if you just don't care, but for us who care, this is a big deal, and they definitely break the Bro Code in this show. The male lead and female lead have liked each other from the moment their little baby hands touch, and learned to know what that was since they became mature enough and that's shown a million times throughout all flashbacks we have seen so far. Not only the main leads, but absolutely everyone in town knows that our main leads have always liked each other and respect their feelings, to the point that besides Sang Do, only out of respect for the male lead there is not one man in town who would even consider liking our female lead. Yes, the female lead has every right to like any other man, but that's not the point here; we are talking about one of the very best friend of our male lead literally getting in between two people that have loved each other since forever, and yes, being a a close friend makes it even worse because it only shows that does not care about our Male Lead or his feelings, and even less about their friendship. To be honest, Sang Do is not a real friend for me, since it seems like he is in that group of friends because of the girl, but still, even with the time he has known male lead, it does not matter if he tells him, he, like everyone else has always seen the obvious, that he likes her, no, that he loves her, but he just doesn't care and the breaking the Bro Code means that the writers just want us to be Okay with this... If you are Okay with that, good for you, but it is a fact that they are breaking the Bro Code and that's one of the worst things you can do to a friend...
JUST DROP THIS DRAMA AND NEVER COME BACK 💀You're here since the first episode, rating this drama 1 star, writing…
I don't think the answer to ask other people to drop the show. They are entitled to have their own opinion and dislike or even hate on shows and characters... just saying
This dramas is so badly written, from story, characters, continuity and general commonsense that the worst fault…
I know you are receiving hate for this comment, but I have to agree with you on the Bro Code! I have seen this in many dramas now, where there is no problem on best friends and even siblings liking and going after the same girl which is not only unrealistic, but just not Okay, since even "when you cannot control who you fall for", a real friend wouldn't even look in the direction of the girl his friend likes. I don't think the female lead deserves any amount of hate, but as for the writers, I am sure they love this defective trope. This is not misogyny, but unfair treatment since, this never happens between girlfriends or sisters, and in the extreme case this ever happens, the writers will make sure to show this other girl as evil as possible, while with men, well... it is what it is with men, and they even continue being friends after that which only hurts our intelligence...
I don't agree with you. Calling that argument "misogyny" is far from reality, because the criticism is not against…
I have to agree with on this one. There is nothing wrong with the female lead moving on, living her life and having the chance to rekindle her best romance and the chance to be with the person who has loved her more. I agree that other character problems are deeper, but let's be clear, they are not the leads, so if course the center of the story is not going to be about them. I am willing to take things further, main leads usually get a free pass for most things since they are the leads, but even between the main leads, there is "main" main leads, and in this show it is obvious that the "main" main leader is the girl from the name of the show to the actual main plot, so of course the focus will be on her...
I mean, people are free to say whatever they want in the comments. It’s the internet after all. But it’s amusing…
I don't agree with you. Calling that argument "misogyny" is far from reality, because the criticism is not against the female lead just because she is a woman, because the same people saying that her drama and "suffering" is less than other characters compare not only to male characters but even her sisters who are female as well.
Lame is an interesting choice of word. I wonder how we can measure somebody's issue as lame. What may be lame…
For starters I was never convinced about the ML being a genius in science, It just made no sense. A lot of things can be "measured" by "results", and you have an ML that never did anything right by the company he was working for ... For someone as as smart as he was supposed to be, he would have been able to surprise everyone with results even with all the obstacles (the whole drama with that job could have been that someone takes credit for his work, and that would make a lot more sense). Instead, a girl that has experience at all magically has all the skills to not only resolve the company issues but to become leader in the company which is respected by everyone that should know a lot more than her... At this point you should understand why I found their issue "lame", but I'll give you another clue... Not only his career felt fake a superficial, but his relationship, since all they knew what to do was get "intimate" one way or the other, they never communicated properly or showed trust and respect towards each other, so, for "a healthy relationship mains" they were extremely unhealthy which caused their lame misunderstanding, if they communicated better he should know better what would bother her about that situation, and she would know that Mr. "Genius" is her man and she can trust his decision and support him... Can you see why I found this lame?
I finished the drama and I’ll write a full review soon but overall I give it 8.5 ⭐️ It had a very strong…
I want to get into this, but after three attempts I have not made it to episode 2, and I have some prejudice against ML, since from the opening and ending scenes, he seems to (later on) get in between the FL and her crush, or idol, or something I guess, and it just feels weird watching ML forcing his way in between them, when as the ML, she should be the rightful one... I don't know how to describe it properly. Do you think it is worth to endure that, and a possible love triangle before the main leads get together?
My god this is so boringggggLiterally watched only one ep at regular speed. All the others were 2x 😭😭
I have tried getting into this show three times now, and I am not sure what it is but I have not been able to go over episode 1, and worst part is that I read that things get worse after episode 20 (I think)... Still, this show is on a list I follow of no Break Up shows, so some part of me wants to watch this at some point...
