I love Ikuta, but I totally agree. I was sure he'd be playing Aoki (looks-wise not sure, but the character seems more for him?) when I first heard about the live action. Oh well. We shall see how it goes.
Do I need to watch this before I watch the other one? They're alternative versions? JG Escape is listed as sequel for both of them, so I'm a little confused. Can't seem to find this subbed anyway.
hmmmmm.... Is this drama slice of life? I don't really like those types of dramas. I can't really tell what I'm…
It is far too heavy to be considered slice-of-life. It's more of a human drama. One of the heroines, an elementary school teacher, notices that her student is a victim of domestic violence. Having experienced painful childhood herself, she makes a decision on a whim to take the little girl and become her mother. They escape together, and throughout the story they are forced to continuously run from the authorities, the biological mother, and various emotional factors of both of them. It does show their daily life, but it is intense and keeps the viewers on edge. You can almost say it has a sense of adventure, one imbued with suspense and constant anxiety. It is one of my absolute favorite j-dramas, but it is not one I want to revisit. Whenever I see any actor from it in a different show, I feel like I just watched Mother again. But I'm rambling. Hope I answered your question.
Hey guys, how many years have passed between the backstory and Black's return (2016)? I somehow missed exactly how big of a timeskip we have here. Thanks in advance.
