No. These are tropes found in many novels of the genre. It’s the same with Mafia romance books. Or forced marriage trope books. I know some people will tell you otherwise, but as a writer, I will say that tropes become popular and authors then use them in their plots. Most of the time, similarities are just coincidences. If you read Love Like A Galaxy, the progression of the novel is different from The Double. However , If you look hard enough, you will think all the books and dramas are similar in many aspects. Look up there in Other Discussions. You’ll see an excellent essay/post written about the similarities between The Double and Kuning Palace. 😉

Yes, just two different production companies and that's why the changed names. It was very meticulously scripted with lots of mirroring scenes. We were putting them together onto the Other Discussion board too.
