I haven't watched LLG yet, but what's the similarities between these two Dramas?
Yes, they are the same in some elements but different in portrayals. I can say that about many dramas. Especially xianxia as a genre, for instance—the same, yet different.
I can be innocuous and make out a long list of the differences between these two dramas, but 😂 I won’t.
It would be interesting to see some adventures of Xiang Liu and Maoqiu after some centuries have passed and maybe…
Money talks and TJC!s XiangLiu and the proper script (rebirth and new heroine) will get many ads order and many reservations. 🤣 heck, I would be the first in line.
The novel was written before Love Like The Galaxy.
No. These are tropes found in many novels of the genre. It’s the same with Mafia romance books. Or forced marriage trope books. I know some people will tell you otherwise, but as a writer, I will say that tropes become popular and authors then use them in their plots. Most of the time, similarities are just coincidences. If you read Love Like A Galaxy, the progression of the novel is different from The Double. However , If you look hard enough, you will think all the books and dramas are similar in many aspects. Look up there in Other Discussions. You’ll see an excellent essay/post written about the similarities between The Double and Kuning Palace. 😉
I will attempt an explanation. In ancient China, there is the belief that the dead must return to their place…
I think she admitted her feelings when she became jealous of his "visit" to the brothel. And of course, she flat out confessed while she was drunk. Look at the breakdown of Episode 17 above. I tagged you.

Thank you! And thanks also for the "flower!" I have included a breakdown of the rain scene on this thread, in case you missed it from earlier discussions. If you checked out the Couple Scenes discussion topic above, you'll see many of us have cut and paste interesting observations there about the all the subtext and sexy insinuations of our Favorite Couple :).
Yes, just two different production companies and that's why the changed names. It was very meticulously scripted with lots of mirroring scenes. We were putting them together onto the Other Discussion board too.
