About Avenuex. First of all, I apologize to everyone that I'ill certainly displease. So... You need to be very…
Eh. I'm Chinese and I like AvenueX, in spite of my disagreeing with her all the time. She brings Chinese culture to her viewers just fine. She isn't pompous and has a good sense of humor (YMMV) and in the early days, used to give great video talk about dialogue, puns and Chinese idioms in dramas (these are my favorite thing, so I followed her for that). When she was in China, her tour videos of culture and where they filmed the dramas were A++.
She may not be my cup or tea or yours but she does have a certain flair and knowledge of what she wants to talk about. I feel like I have to defend her when she really doesn't need any from me, but her opinion is just one of many and in the minority when it comes to vastly popular dramas. That is OK in my book. I just don't NOT watch just because of her sayso. As with any book, I open it, read a few chapters, maybe read the ending, before I decide whether I like it. Same with C-dramas. I think, from watching her over the years, she has lost a bit of her enthusiasm and is going through certain stuff in life. It's human. I get the same way when mired with bad writing (IMO) being published. But we all continue because we love it in our way.
im up to the court episode where the princess stormed in and started yelling about XFF - i mean she wasn't actually…
By XFF's logic and making people doubt the Princess and her witness. :) You have to watch it. It's nicely done. And then, there is that eye-to-eye challenge at the end. EPIC. SYR, as always, remains a coward in the eye of any challenge.
my favorite historical c dramas are yanxy palace, long ballad, love like galaxy, joy of love , highly recommend…
They are excellent. The standard bearer is Nirvana in Fire but that is not a romance, just something so great it only comes once in a generation, like Kagemusha.
I've never seen both leads of a series wanting to add kisses but director not letting them đ€Ł wjy even called…
They had the longest wedding kiss scene and the director gave us 2 seconds of it...behind a curtain...with a bad angle. I want to...beat the Drum to complain to the Emperor.
This show has ppl questioning if thereâs double meaning behind everything lol
What the previous poster is saying is that love like the galaxy was written after this novel. It canât parody a book that comes after. The theme of transmigration is very very popular in Chinese writing these couple of decades. It is more a trend than parody. Take Western popular trends the last 20 years, for instance. The vampire lover trend brought forth hundreds of books similar in plot. I wouldnât call the later books parodies, even though there would be a Sire, a Second and probably some werewolf king in a love triangle. Writers write to take advantage of a trend; the main themes might be similar but the Voice and the Style would be different same with current Chinese drama trends.
