I really want to watch this but the way Zhao LuSi acts the adult era of her character is just off— doesn’t…
That's the point of how Xu Yan is. And Zhao LuSi's portrayal is spot-on. Xu Yan cannot be natural. She doesn't know how. We should see a different Xu Yan when she becomes herself later on.
I think LuSi is freaking eating up this role with all its emotional highs and lows. She has the audience all on the edge of their seat wondering whether her next step would trip the wire that would explode her life to bits.
Honestly i want yu yiming to chase xu yan so that qiao lins heart breaks and she understands what xu yan went…
In life, there are some people who get things in hand very easily and usually they aren't able to understand those who can't get them or those who work very hard to get them. Of course, there are those who are more aware and they become sympathetic people, but this sister ain't one of them, LOL.
It's been long since I've written an essay, but I just kinda felt the need to voice my thoughts, since I've seen…
Yes, love this. Thank you. Also, he doesn't make her feel invisible (like to her parents and to the show when she was a planner). He tells her he's watching her and I kinda think that's a kink for both of them. I think she wants to be his #1 and maybe (theory), when she finds out se isn't, her disillusion also makes him #2 to her and HE doesn't like it and hence, a big showdown and breakup. There's a coming scene in the previews where she's wiping off all her makeup and I think that's going to be a powerful one for her own restart.
For people wondering why XY would fall for ML, girl really needs therapy 😂 . My take is she grew up with no…
The feeling of being invisible is on point. That's why, perhaps, she is on TV--she wants to be seen. She doesn't want to be a background "unseen" planner.
It's an "adaptation with an ORIGINAL script," per the director. You're killing yourself worrying about…
Wow, a nightmare caused by the episode? You're highly suggestive, LOL. I'm guessing halfway point will be the next arc, so Episode 15 should be either the beginning of the end of all the deception. That's how writing a romance/happy ending story would works. 1/3 time build up in first part, 2/5 time disintregation with 3/5 all-out emotional damnation (haha) in second part, then 4/5 rejuvenation and satisfying audience with successful comeback and 1/5 happy ending for the third part.
This looks as if he walked away from her because of her lies. This is better than she leaving him because he cheated…
Well, he's lying to her too. And, his walking off could be his way of controlling her still (my opinion, no idea) because he already knew about her lies before purposely pursuing her. Can't wait his house of cards to fall down too.
This is all revealed in the first few minutes of episode 1 so I don't think it is spoiler. When I think about…
There is no wrong or right in her mind, IMO. She stated her story very matter-of-factly. She was denied by her parents, so she denied them now. And then, when she was rejected by another set of parents (boyfriend's parents would be a new set), she fell back to her age-old mode when she was bullied--she had another set of parents, good ones, better than any.
Her need to protect herself from rejection was one of her first ways to form her armor. We see it coming from a place of needing love. When Hao Ming chose her (or so she thought), she was determined to be with him, no matter what. She said so herself. Her sense of rightness came from a need for security. We see it as a wrong way because lies is a weak foundation, but she probably wanted something so much, she thought she could do it, especially when she was such a meticulous planner.
