I highly recommend watching this, but in my opinion, it’s not a drama with much romance. That’s probably why…
It's not "romantic" because the romance tropes of chasing the FL or even courting isn't in this drama. It's a revenge drama with the ML and FL starting with their own agenda and their fates criss-crossing. However, there was an instant attraction because the ML appreciated the FL's mental smartness. She stood toe-to-toe with him in mental games; in fact, I think she got the better of him several times.
Their conversations were very flirtatious because she, in her hidden previous life, was married and she didn't have the gu-niang attitude at all. She punned back quite flirtatiously. If you speak the language, you'll go oooooh at all the witty comebacks and the underlying sexual tension in their words to each other. But, even if you don't, you'll enjoy the actors' crazy chemistry.
Because for majority of asian drama like this audience are women and a lot of drama writers too, so romance dramas…

For me, here's what I liked about it, but of course, your tastes may be different.- chemistry of the leads (both…
Yes! AND they are very adult about it. There's no girly-girly stuff or fake interruptions. Both were aware of what the other person were saying, double entendres and all, and both enjoyed their teasing each other, even down to the "chi zi" puns. They made me grin and inwardly blush, LOL.

I think they cut out many of Daddi's scenes, including perhaps where he got to be interested in Jade Carver. Otherwise, there was no way he would have let his main love DW to go off caravaning by herself forever. He would have went along behind her on his own caravan.
