Why? LOLI actually like how it ended. Below this reply is a snippet of my review of Love Alarm 2 (spoiler).
That's my point, she really didn't love the rich male lead, and he really didn't love her. Toxic people don't often realize that they are toxic until they seek counseling. Towards the end of season 2 she does tell the rich male lead the reason why she decided to end things, and then we do see her heal from her childhood trauma (she finally face the past by going back to Jeju in South Korea - which was a fear of hers, and she runs in the marathon which is symbolism for closure). Despite the female lead telling the rich male lead that she doesn't want to be with him, he still pursued her, but not because he loved her but because of fear of abandonment. BTW, he totally had a girlfriend most of season 2, and he did his girlfriend dirty lol. I think people just had first male lead syndrome and wanted him to end up with the female lead no matter how horrible of a person he was lol... but I am glad that the female lead chose the guy that she wanted, and he just so happen to be the most sane and healthy out of the three of them lol.
Rarely in real life are people mature enough to tell one another the real reason why they want to break up. I agree with you that it should be done, but rarely is it.
I've only ever seen her in 'Return the World to You' where I thought she was actually solid. Are people exaggerating…
I am watching Weaving A Tale of Love and to me her acting is on par when compared to most Chinese actresses. Meaning, she's a good actor in the Chinese film industry.
You took the words out of my mouth. The only two K-dramas that I've watched on Netflix that seemed a bit westernized…
Have you seen Orange Is The New Black, on Netflix? It's a duplicate but in a male only prison. I wrote a review, if you're interested check it out on my page.
Wow is Korean prison like that? I honestly thought Korean prisons were roses and daisies compared to other Asian prisons. I'd probably faint just walking by a Chinese, and North Korean prison. I think my legs would be shaking until I pass out. I don't even want to walk near the prisons in America.
Edit: I don't mean to be insensitive towards other countries. If my comment is rude or disrespectful, I will remove it.
OMG OMG I just went to watch Shang-Chi wasnt even interested but I have watched all Marvel movies ever since Iron…
I'm glad to hear that Shang Chi was good. I wondered if PSJ spoke English too. If not, his character may have very few lines in this movie. I'll be honest, I wish they would have casted an Asian American in this movie because in America, Asians are discriminated against. Unlike in Korea, since Korea is a homogeneous country they don't face the same kind of treatment as their fellow Asians who are American. However, I understand that popularity and talent plays a huge role in the casting.
Oh FFS. Don't like it? Don't watch it! But your outrage about diversity in casting, directing, and representation…
Popcxqueen - I don't think the person who responded to you is a Black woman. Nowadays, people create and use fake accounts to speak about social justice issues; in order to claim they are a person of color that is against representation and diversity. Not saying there aren't nuttiness (crazy people) out there but based upon his/her response to both you and I, I doubt that this is the case (meaning that she's/he's a Black woman against diversity).
Yeah no, I def wouldn't say more "westernized" I would say "bigger budget". Kdrama industry has def changed but…
You took the words out of my mouth. The only two K-dramas that I've watched on Netflix that seemed a bit westernized were Nevertheless and Prison Playbook. I've never watched a K or C drama and thought, wow, this is Americanized. Now, the music industry is different.
As an American, I can tell you that he's not really famous in America and didn't become known in America (generally…
Respectfully, what I wrote still remains the same. Humans are all humans but we are not all people of color. You can make up a definition for people of color if you would like but if your definition contradicts what's written in dictionaries you are wrong. I'm not going to argue with stupidity. It seem as if you are unwilling to read and learn the definition to a very common term because of your own pride and ego.
The other topics that you mentioned, I refuse to comment on because you don't listen to learn but listen to argue with people with different and factual opinions.
Sad but true. I’m happy that a lot of Asian actors have been making breakthroughs in the US film industry. But…
In America representation has different meanings but I will not argue with you. We can agree to disagree. As a Black American, an Asian American actor doesn't represent my heritage or ethnicity. America is a heterogeneous society full of diverse people. Thus, it's important for blacks, biracial, Asians, whites, and Hispanics to be represented in media and not just white Americans.
Thank you for apologizing for your tone. Thank you for your opinion as well. While we have different opinions, it doesn't mean that one is more valuable than the other. I just so happen to think mine is right and you think yours is right. =)
Which J-dramas have you tried watching and couldn't get past the first episode? I'm just curious.
You're welcome! The reason the ratings are so low on kisskh is because of the controversy surrounding the original first male lead actor. I am not going to front, I liked the original O-Dal actor better, but In Woo did his thing too. It's hard to start liking a new actor playing the same character. The switch happened midway through, but by now they've removed the scenes with the original O-Dal actor, and now you will see In Woo only.

I can totally understand why anyone would not be interested in Chinese historical/period dramas lol. Most of the time Chinese historical/period dramas are 30 episodes longer than needed. My favorite historical/period dramas are as follows:
1. Mr. Queen - K 2. The Story of Ming Lan - C 3. Legend of Fu Yao - C 4. River Where the Moon Rises - K 5.Good Bye, My Princess - C

I may have to buy the book then. I really may have to give up. =(
Thanks for the update!

Btw, Black Panther made billions of dollars.
Diversity matters.
Btw, I am American.
