I am one of the people who didn't like The Untamed, before you try to convince me to watch it again please read the review on my page for that drama. I also didn't like Strong Woman Do Bong Soon and Falling Into Your Smile, amongst other dramas.
I literally just stopped watching the drama for the same reason. If they wanted to promote the LGBTQ+, they should have done it in a modern drama, and not a Korean historical or period drama. Honestly, episode 3 ruined the drama for me, as it was way too unrealistic.
Respectfully, Mr. Queen's genre isn't LGBTQ+. Please review the information page. I don't think this drama ever wanted to or meant to come off as it were addressing LGBTQ + issues. This drama is based off of another drama titled Go Princess Go, which is based off of a book.
I agree that the drama is disappointing. I just want to comment on your definition of a review. Reviews, as they…
I define bias as follow: "prejudice in favor of or against one thing, person, or group compared with another, usually in a way considered to be unfair." I think you're confusing the word bias, with the word subjective. In my opinion, reviews should never have biases, but should be subjective.
An example of a bias review is giving a drama a 10, solely because I like the lead characters, irregardless of how good or bad the drama is.
I checked out (meaning I lost interest) after the episode in which Yumi went to Jeju and confronted Babi about his love for new love interest (is it 7?). Is it worth me watching the rest of the episodes?
Only respond if you likewise, have found season 2 to be disappointing, but decided to continue to watch.
This is such a great drama. I hate to kill your joy of life, regarding this drama but season 2 probably will not happen anytime soon. I've been waiting for it for over a year.
Btw, I was the one who suggested that they should have casted an older actor. Just because the actor is older, doesn't mean the character has to be the same age. The reason why I believe the casting director should have casted an older actor is because typically (not always), the older (not old but older) actors act better due to experience. The same with any occupation.
The male lead actor was very stiff. It's as if he's overacting (trying to be a tough soldier). The stiff acting worked well for him in The Long Ballad because his character was a tribesmen leader and not a general. Your review of this drama and my review of this drama are very similar.
Also, to make matters worse, the male lead character storyline was not good. It was not well crafted, nor was it believable.
I knew this was gonna happen. Babi needs a slap. I mean he left his last gf kind of because of Yumi and now this…
Great comment! We saw those red flags in season 1. He was flirting with Yumi, before he ended things with his girlfriend at the time. There are a lot of people who enjoy the chase. Stay away from dating people like that. Once you like them, they'll stop liking you. I dealt with a guy like that when I was in college.
Btw, please mark your comment as spoiler. I just started episode 8, but now I know how it will end lol.
This drama is so freaking good. The lead actress did an insanely good job acting as someone on the autism spectrum. I hope that this drama will allow Koreans to learn more about autism and mental illnesses. Btw, I live in Korea, so I know the stigma that mental illnesses have in Korea.
