I'm actually looking forward to seeing a Marvel movie now! :-)
I'll be moving to East Asia soon, so I am not sure how I will be able to watch this when it comes out. Hopefully, since PSJ has a role in this movie, it'll play in Korean theaters (with English subtitles lol). I also want to see Black Panther 2 in 2022....

Do they still make DVD's? Maybe I'll have someone buy it when it is released on DVD, then have them mail it to me lol.

I did enjoy Descendants of the Sun so I get it, but honestly I really didn't like the main couple from the start.…
I hadn't watched it yet but I do plan too. I've heard mostly good reviews about D.O.T.S.

Please don't forget to check the spoiler box. =)

Honestly, True Beauty is both overhyped and overrated... Also The Heirs and Boys Over Flowers. It may just be…
Is there more than one Lee Min Ho? I tried watching the Heirs because it was recommended but I dropped it after the first 20 mins of episode 1. I think that type of acting was popular back then. This is why I usually place a range (e.g. 2016-2021) on my list because these are important factors to consider. I am probably older than a lot of kisskhers and I think it's why I enjoy historical/period dramas over romcoms.

Yes, I think that you misunderstood. However, I've heard of Death Note, but hadn't watched it. Btw, do you mind replying with the link to the J-drama Jin? I searched for the page on kisskh but couldn't find it. I want to add it to my Plan To Watch list.

Which J-dramas have you tried watching and couldn't get past the first episode? I'm just curious.
There were 3 or 4, I honestly don't remember their names. One was an historical drama recommended to me by someone on kisskh. I don't feel like searching through the posted articles to look for it. The other 2 or 3, I found on kisskh and decided to watch them after reading the synopsis but then dropped them. Please understand that I, by no means am trying to offend anyone, but it's just a preference that I have due to how J-drama's are often produced.

The user EWW, posted a reply below and it explains the reason why I usually drop J-dramas.

"Actually, I tried to watch some J dramas but failed miserably. Jdrama tend to add character's thoughts that is going on in their mind during that particular time, in background through dubbing or voice over, they talk less in screen time and narrate more in the background or to be precise, it feels like most of the time actors / actress are always speaking in mind, which is something I don't appeal to . While in k drama characters speak through their acts. Well, it might be only me feeling like this (and I kinda messed it up explaining here in this awful way). But Jdrama have an advantage i.e. good story in less no. of episodes." -EWW

Me too! However, I may have to wait until I can see them on Disney+ because of COVID-19. There are a lot of Americans who are anti-maskers. I don't want to be around anyone who is not wearing a mask in public. I hope about time this movie is released COVID-19 will be a thing of the past.

Sad but true. I’m happy that a lot of Asian actors have been making breakthroughs in the US film industry. But…
and what reason did I say "still doesn't change racism"? Btw, you quoted what I wrote, and what I wrote still does not say that I believe movies change racism. I encourage you take a second to really think about this. You're making an argument because of your misunderstanding. You should have first clarified the reason why I said what I said, instead of assuming. My manners were never rude towards you, which is the reason why I don't have to mind them in the first place. Your first reply to me was pretty obnoxious, please take accountability for your actions. It's okay to apologize, you know? It's okay for people to have to agree to disagree online, but there's never a need to be disrespectful.

You obviously don't understand representation in America. Picking out 5 successful black Actors or Asian actors in America is not what's considered representation when there are hundreds of white actors in Hollywood who get opportunities whether they are mediocre or brilliant actors just because of the color of their skin. Respectfully, you're obviously ignorant when it comes to understanding representation, racism, and systemic racism in the entertainment and journalism industry in America. Please educate yourself being speaking about topics that you haven't studied or thoroughly looked into. https://www.pbs.org/newshour/arts/why-on-screen-representation-matters-according-to-these-teens

I've actually never watched a J-drama with anime in it. I didn't know they existed. I think you either misunderstood what I wrote or I am misunderstanding what you wrote lol. I will check out Jin, thanks for the recommendation!

As an American, I can tell you that he's not really famous in America and didn't become known in America (generally…
I am black too. Btw, people classify a lot of things (e.g. gender, race, age groups, etc). I can call people of color, people of color if I want to. There is nothing negative or wrong about that term. Who are you to tell me to do otherwise? If you want to list all the ethnicities, and nationalities when speaking about people of color do so. However, mind yours, when trying to control which terms I use.

BTW the term people of color is in all major dictionaries https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/person%20of%20color

I've tried to get into J-dramas but I couldn't get passed the first episode in the ones that I watched. I prefer anime over their dramas.

K-dramas are either a hit or miss. Meaning there's a 50/50 chance that it'll be worth the watch. I tend to like K-historical dramas over their romcoms. I hope they start making more period dramas.

To answer your question, Korean dramas are probably more known than Japanese dramas but anime is probably more known than Korean dramas. I've been watching anime since the late 90's in America.

Not that you asked but I dislike most...almost all Chinese romcoms but adore Chinese historical dramas and like Chinese period dramas.

News flash: I never said that they did. Movies with POC representation help encourage the people that look like the actors which is why Shang Chi and Black Panther exist, because representation matters. Superhero movies are not watched by most for escapism.

Mind your manners!

It's easier for people to like racist content when their race, heritage or ethnicity is not impacted. Btw, that…
Thank you for being proactive! Korea is a homogeneous country and they pride themselves on that. However, there are cons to intentionally not learning about discrimination and biases towards other people of color. Korea cancel culture is serious. If other people of color did to them, what they do to us, they'd hate us as much as they hate their fellow East Asians.

To be honest, I am over all discrimination and hate. It's tough being black, it's tough being a woman, and it's tough being born by baby boomer parents lol. However, lovely comments like yours remind me not to be cynical! =)
