I know that some reviews really condemn the ML, but to me he plays his role well. He was never raised as a general and naturally kept away from the imperial court for a reason. His performance is refreshing. I find him kind and compassionate and obviously the FL is important to him. There never was a back and forth thinking she is a man. Their relationship is very cute and teasing. Lol the SML is quite sexy and she does have a more passionate relationship with him. There are pro and cons to each of the MLs, especially now that I know more about the ML father and what he did. Personally I like both as both are projecting different characters 😊
I'm on episode 20 and so far I'm really enjoying this drama. I'm not really one who is watching war dramas, but I really got hooked with this one. I like the FL a lot and also the ML. They have a really endearing chemistry. Yes, he is not the most manly 'general', but he has compassion and kindness. Let's be honest, being a general takes a bit more than just ' inheriting ' it, but then Mai is from a real generals families and we can clearly see her tactical and strategic brain working. I also like an the supporting actors. I dropped a tear here and then. The music is good too. Somehow I developed a SML syndrome and I'm not normally 😂
Does the drama get serious or does it remain comedic/satirical throughout? I'm trying to decide if I should continue
I really liked the funny side of the drama. Made me laugh a lot. It got more serious from the middle onwards but still with a hint of sarcasm and laughter. I enjoyed it a lot, but everyone needs to decide for themselves 😊
Just finished it and loved it. Aye, it started off quite strange and I had my reservations, but it was really funny and it caught my interest. The characters were well developed during the story and the screenwriter did a very good job 😊 there are many learnings to take away and you have to believe in writing your own fate I will kiss the characters a lot. The main leads had great chemistry and the second lead couple was also very adorable. I also liked the ending, but also felt quite sad when someone died (Not saying who, lol). Anyways, it's a highly recommended drama and one of my favourites of LY. I also liked the FL a lot ❤️
Maybe it's just me feeling this way, but sometimes I find the scenes changing too abruptly. I know it's explained in another scene as a flashback, but still, something feels a bit strange.

It started off funny, but now it's getting serious. Intense games!
