Growing up in a chaotic dysfunctional family with a burden on his shoulder. Not only did he not get the right…
Thank you so much. During the original airing when we were on this site in the middle of the night or wee hours of the morning, there was this constant debate. I was extremely frustrated by how so many viewers expected him to act like a grown up and totally forgot how young they both were. The poor thing was worn down and felt hopeless and ashamed of his reduced circumstances.
And the criticisms of her get on my nerves, too. Cherry did not put her life on hold and wasn't depressed, crying into her cornflakes every morning. And if things hadn't worked out, there was plenty of time for her to find a new love. She knew deep in her heart that there was a reason he disappeared and she was also more aware than the rest of the group of how insanely toxic his family situation was.
This was the first series that I watched as it aired and it was torture, but I loved it so much. I am a big rewatcher of things I like, but am saving this for a dark rainy day binge to savor it all at once.
I haven't started this yet. But I have read a few comments and I have observed people saying that ML doesn't love…
He loves her just as much but is unable to show it due to certain circumstances. It's frustrating but critics forgot how young he was. He had to deal with a LOT from the start.
So, I know I am going to the in the minority with this, but I don't think he's a green forest ML. Him lying to…
I am rewatching the series currently and haven't gotten to this point. But as I recall, he did tell the mum he didn't want to lie to Xi Fan and I just looked at a recap and it seems he kept quiet for the mother's sake, which after she calmed down, Xi Fan understood. The parents put him in a really bad position.
Let's not debate this further and just enjoy our show.
I binged it again, dont know why, still enjoyed it. Its such a good drama
I just rewatched for the second time and still love it. I really envied their lifestyle--working hard during the week and chilling at the old house in the evening and on weekends, riding bikes and dancing.
Wtf I'm stuck at girl who has crush on He suye but didn't confess her feelings, changed wards and then changed…
It was still obvious she had a crush and she only moved on because after she dared to scold Xi Fan in the pantry, he immediately told her she was his intern because Grandpa asked him to work with her but she was "just" his student and he would not work with her during the following semester. Technically, she didn't let go; she was let go, lol. But yeah, good on her for moving on and continuing to excel in her career.
So, I know I am going to the in the minority with this, but I don't think he's a green forest ML. Him lying to…
Was he actually her doctor, though? As I recall, she had a doctor but turned to him for advice/support when she got her diagnosis because she knew and trusted him and she got western medical treatment for her cancer and the TCM to make it easier. The grandpa also supported her with the Tai Chi.
Bottom line: He was not her doctor. She didn't want him to tell the daughter and he could not ethically go against her wishes. And he was not her primary care physician.
First of all, what a pig. He did not give one flying fig about what she thought or cared about.
The way he behaved when he stayed at the hotel was so awful, especially the causing scenes in the lobby. But what really enraged me was how the hotel manager wanted to dock her bonus because of this asshole's behavior.
Forget the fact that she knew the asshole and was in a relationship with him long before she started working there, how about the fact that it was beyond obvious that he was harassing her and it wasn't until the idiot tore up his hotel room that the manager realized he was a rotting bad seed. Loved and laughed when he finally left and the friend/colleague said, "Please don't come again."
I'm sorry that for as close as she was to her parents she didn't feel comfortable telling them about the boyfriend's abusive attitudes and behavior. They would have understood.
Down below someone posted that Dr. He disrespected her relationship with the prick, but why should he respect a relationship that is obviously one that is hurting her so deeply. He's just being a good and comforting friend while biding his time.
And the way that MFer looked down on our lovely Dr. He for being a TCM physician? Although it wasn't shown, I like to imagine that after their wedding, dickhead learned how wealthy Dr. He's family is. Probably reeling in way more money than his snobby family in an area that is not vulnerable to market ongoings.
I love their romance so much and this series. The interns' reactions to Dr. He's moods are too funny (the annoying girl intern doesn't count). Grandpa laughing about how he pursued her to the neighborhood (There's no cafe, lol), the blowdryer and at the airport in the car scenes, his love letters, the music, the TCM, the flowers. It's all just so good!!!
Can you tell I'm on a rewatch? I've rewatched it a lot but not always from the beginning; would start at a few episodes in. Love the TCM blurbs. Love it all. This time from the beginning and it's so good.
Can anyone tell me why her and her parents are so formal with eachother? Calling her mrs shen instead of their…
In Love Scenery the ML's parents and grandparents address each other this way and he told the FL he would do the same when they marry, lol. I think it's adorable.
For me, ๐The Best Thing - modern idol drama(green flag ML)๐The Story of Kunning Palace -ancient costume…
I enjoyed him in Our Generation. Sadly, I don't do costume dramas, and most of his work is that, but after loving Bon Appetit, Your Majesty, I'm considering Kunning Palace because of some clips people have shared on reddit.
