He did himself no favors by submitting falsified financials.
I'm just saying that he might find himself in trouble for that when the truth about the collapse comes out. But you're right, he does prioritize safety, which is good. It will be interesting to see if he has enough integrity to help Yu find out the truth. I tend to think that Yu might not even give him that opportunity since this is a secret undercover mission.
"One is cultivating immortality and doesn't even drink water. One is acting like a schizophrenic and another one is acting like a violent maniac ... on a killing spree." That was the funniest scene ever. Thank you, Gong.
I think translators sometimes feel 'I like you' sounds too weak in english romance, but they don't realize how…
They could translate it to "I really like you," with an emphasis on the really and that would work. I am American and do not speak Mandarin, but have watched enough cdramas that when the words "I love you" popped up on my screen, I was, like, what? And even before I started being able to make the distinction between the Mandarin I like you and I love you, I knew that when they say, "Wǒ xǐhuān nǐ" they mean, I like-like you. :)
I had a feeling, SML wasn't a bad person..he is just your typical not so nice SML but not evil..I think when he…
@Nauriya--He absolutely has done bad things to ML. After spying on him, he did a live TV interview in which he plagiarized ML's hotel design concept and after ML won the bid, he stopped the supply chain of materials ML needed for the project by locking down all of the vendors in sole provider contracts so ML's company would be forced to collaborate with his. He's dirty. Maybe not as dirty as his father, but his hands are not clean.
In cdramas, certain directors direct the actors to kiss in a certain wayy....you know..."censor appropriate…
The director from Sniper Butterfly should give a master class to his fellow directors, lol. He got very involved in kissing tutorials for the ML actor and the BTS clips were a riot.
But at the same time I don't want this drama to end 😭
I think FL's father will force them to separate but their hearts will remain together and then they eventually reunite. If the break up, must she leave her job, too, I wonder.

How does he stand up to his father? He submitted the falsified financial reports to Lyman and completely shut down when Father Pei said to forget about girls from "ordinary" families who can't help him with his career. All talk, no action.
The chemistry and tension they talk about is honestly nonexistent.
I know!!! It's crazy talk because she literally does not like him like that. He knows absolutely nothing about what makes her tick while our ML literally has a sixth sense when it comes to her.
As i predicted. PEI has no backbone or any resources w/o his dad power/moneyHe is not bold w/o itI hope they have…
Exactly. He tries to act all big and bad with Zhi Yu but shuts right down when confronted by his father, whether the issue is work or his love life. Meanwhile, ML has been independent since the start of his uni years.
And why are all of his clothes blue?
I also did a rewatch on Viki, where ML tells him to not let his one-sided love affect Xiu, which I think is a bit more forceful than wishful thinking, which infers some sort of hope? Maybe I'm reading too much into this, lol.
Love, love, LOVE, how after the birthday brunch Yu told Xiu he was going home because he had to meet someone important and by home he meant the lane house because that's where his heart lives!
If you think about it, he’s pretty pitiful. Please don’t slay me or categorize me for sympathizing w/ SML.Both…
afHe may go down the river with his father for submitting that false financials report.
The scenes with ML and his father make me so sad for him because he was clearly loved. That living room was filled with children's stuff. After his father's death, Yu's life drastically changed and he spent every moment wanting to clear his father's name, which is a LOT for one so young. But while he is by no means perfect, he didn't grow up to be a poisonous snake who doesn't hesitate to resort to underhanded business tactics to harm others.
