ahhhh!!! boss and me!!! my old is gold show! brainless Shan Shan omg miss her!
I've been rewatching this series. Love it so much in part because I adore the ML and also because I want that life and to spend my weekends and holidays at the old house. Sigh.
Yes that Was Stupid as Hell, She Practically blackmailed him to Leave and Broke up when it did not go her Way
You are right. He was so utterly devoted to her that he decided early on he would never love or marry anyone but her. And even though he went to the US and thrived, he developed insomnia so he wouldn't dream about her and even sought out the school psychologist, poor thing.
I love this series so much and am currently rewatching now that Shine on Me is done.
I don't remember her weighing herself or even worrying about weight but I think it's pretty typical for women…
Weight does seem to come up often in these dramas. I remember a scene from one where the boy told a girl he hoped all the cake she'd eaten would go straight to her thighs, lol. Loved how LYS noted that he would have to up the food budget in their married life.
I am an American who loves, loves, loves food so I totally relate to the weight comments. And there is so much food in these dramas that I fast became a lover of what they're eating and order it frequently.
I wonder how some scenes pass and others don't. Like the blowdryer scene in The Best Thing, the I'm going to make love to you in the hallway scene in Love is Sweet, the kitchen counter interlude in I May Love You, the love making in Before we Get Married, Speed and Love, etc.--all the scenes lovingly described as the day the censors were drunk, lol.
I think most old K-romcoms pretty much cover this topic just with slight variations. I'm still relatively new…
Exactly. I just wrote above before seeing your comment that he had to deal with so much that would have broken many people his age.
That was the first drama I watched as it drip dropped and remember being up and here at all hours discussing and chasing down episodes :) I want to finally do a rewatch but for some reason need it to be on a dark and rainy or snowy day.
While I liked the drama overall and really loved the chemistry between the leads (although I didn’t end up finishing…
I don't remember her weighing herself or even worrying about weight but I think it's pretty typical for women to think about weight gain, especially when they love, love, love to eat a lot of good food like XG and I do, lol. And even if she was concerned, it didn't stop her from eating a ton and it was sweet that he encouraged her healthy appetite.
But that is also cruel to not do it himself. That just means she was not worth his time.
I don't think he cheated while married, but not sure. It would have been nice to see him dump her in person but he was in the hospital and landed up there due to her and her father's shenanigans and was just done. He didn't want to see her scheming face again or deal with her begging. I do wish we'd seen a bit of her life after being forced to leave the villa.
Thought they were going to have a very big and grand wedding. Seems like it was only them 2? The way he couldnt…
I'm sure he wanted to get married ASAP but said she was still so young, which she was, so wanted to give her some time and establish his re-entry to medicine before locking her down for life. But I do think they were living together after the red beans.
I do wish we'd seen a grand wedding but the post wedding life makes up for it.
