For people who are supposed to be so bright, they're really kind of stupid. And the uni friend told Stupid SML about the sweet kiss he'd witnessed when LYS dropped XG off at the restaurant. These conversations covered how his parents got together, the rivalry with her evil brothers, the father being sent away, dying during some political turmoil in the country he was exiled to, the mother exiling herself to Switzerland and going no contact with her father, etc.

True, lol. That's why so many of the male leads in the other dramas are such wonderful in the kitchen. They say they couldn't get used to the new cuisine or couldn't live on hamburgers every day so they had to learn to cook to survive.

I think what @Kinara was saying is that we did get an explanation for what happened to the father from both LYS's mother and XG's uncle. You said the show didn't give a proper explanation and that is not true.

I think the mother will make the deal so she can be rid of and have no ties with her ex-husband and also join forces with her daughter and LYS to make that company a huge success.

I think she's jealous because as the person who's known him the longest and unlike anyone else, she knows that he likes XG. Also probably resents her being rich.
