Hopefully by the end of the drama we are given an explanation that ties up all the loose ends in an logical fashion. Glad the show isn't taking itself too serious.

Of the various Vertical versions I watched, I liked the Guo Jing/Xie Yu Wang version the best.

I'm a recent discoverer of Vertical dramas. I was live watching Ryan Ren's mini-drama Love on the Edge of Divorce and waiting for the next episode to drop when a commenter on that drama's MDL page indicated that there were at least 15 different vertical versions of the drama (this was the first time I was even aware that such dramas existed ). Highly interested in knowing where the Love on the Edge of Divorce storyline was going, I went looking for these Vertical dramas. I ended up watching about 6 different versions of the story. The rest as they say is history as they have become my favorite type of drama..

I'm currently also watching Ryan Ren's latest mini-drama Marry Me Again - wonder if it also has 15 vertical drama versions!

I've started reading an auto translated version of the novel. It's fairly long at 293 chapters. This drama adaption is almost all drawn from the first 1/3 of the novel. The misunderstanding that cause their separation for the last 2 years was cleared up by around chapter 80 and so far for at least the last 60 chapters I've read it has been the ML pursuing the FL pleading with her for forgiveness with the FL just repeatedly rejecting him and demanding a divorce (getting a little tiresome). Hopefully this doesn't drag out for the remaining 2/3s of the novel...

The novel for the most part is told from the FL point of view and is very angsty.

Zeng Hui is really good in Prince of Beijing also.
