After the last episode, I could totally see the difference between the two male leads and their words to Roo Da…
Jun Ho doesn't have any problems for her to get caught up in. Just saying. It's highly possible the writers are out to change the webtoon, or little netizens have been writing into the producers to do so (cause THAT'S guaranteed to make the drama better - NEVER..) The webtoon was fabulous because the manager (Baek) was helped by this girl with NO LOVE interest going on. Got that? She started out, as here, wanting to stop the time loop, nothing more. Baek had that hilarious self-centered certainty that she fell for him, but in fact, at the end, our manager became a better person and found meaning in his life, caring about his team, because not only Roo Da but all of them came to see him as a flawed human and he himself saw his effect good and bad on people. Lots of that is retained here, but creating this ridiculous love triangle (a meme I really hate BTW) cheapens the whole idea. Baek himself says it - he wants to look good for 'one' person. Well that's fabulous. Not. I love our main lead actor - he's the reason I started watching this. Wonderful actor and just so very handsome. So let's not think I'm rooting for Jun Ho cause he's cute & young. Not true. He's just the one Roo Da likes. It's rather insulting to see that this is who she likes (writers told us so, for one thing) and wanting to see her 'forced' onto another guy. How delightful :( I also find it laughable that those who ship Baek & Roo Da (for whatever reasons) ignore his major problems and try to nitpick the tiny few that Jun Ho has. Nonsensical. The power and charm of this story will be severely stressed if Roo Da and Baek end up in a relationship here. It would be wonderful if she ends up in NO relationship at the end, where Jun Ho is a possibility (believe that's how the webtoon ended). If the only reason Baek changes turns out to be for HER, that's not a real change, you see. It's shallow. I'm seeing real change there that has nothing to do with some crush he has, or with Roo Da as a love object - her determination (remember, started because she wanted OUT of that time loop) have forced him to see her decency and humanity, thereby allowing him to see other people's as well. That's the point of the story and I'm disappointed that the writers and producers seem to want to water the impact down (that dumb love triangle).
Wtf how come this 8.5 when the last empress is 7.5. all this cliche shit.
Not 'new'. I'm loving it, certainly, and it has an original approach, but the subject matter and some of the plot is similar to Mother (which was a remake - an improved version in my opinion - of the Japanese original) People have been telling variations on few themes for millenia. SHAKESPEARE used no original plots - all his stuff was based on older plays, which themselves were re-tellings. It's HOW the story is told, not the plot structure, that makes it excellent or not worth your time. The dialogue, characters, and motivations make a story unique.
I liked the two of them together, at first! But of course now, when we know who the hubby really is, had to change :D Some people are still shipping the professor which baffles me, considering we now know who he is/was, and who the hubby really is as well.
Another drama where people didn't bother to check the original source. In THIS one it is obvious from about 5 episodes…
You don't, but it's helpful to do it if you are worried about what the outcome might be. You go ahead and root for the guy who killed her hubby in that former reincarnation. Have fun with that.
I'm sick of this Geum, as well of the non definition of this drama. For me is Jung. I don't care what nobody says.
You know, we ALL get confused as to whom we are replying to in a long thread. Besides, spoiler tags are spoiler tags. I guess the automatic notifications don't honor spoiler tags - so that's something I learned. I'm not referring to anyone who does not ship this pair, despite this webpage making it look like that. I'm the one making the comment and I know who I meant it for. IF you don't ship them, my comment is irrelevant for you. Pretty simple.
Everything was so good, so well written from beginning to... almost the end. What's wrong with the ending? It's…
WHAT exactly did you think was unanswered? Everything pertinent was either definitely explained, semi-seen, or inferred. A lot of the closure is subtle, but it's certainly there. Contrast this with City Hunter and then tell me how this drama lacked closure LOL
I haven't watched this weeks episodes but from all the comments it looks like the 2nd lead is now the lead and…
Another drama where people didn't bother to check the original source. In THIS one it is obvious from about 5 episodes ago who the REAL hubbie was. Geum's her hubby. The professor is that fire fairy who got kicked out, and KILLED hubby in his woodcutter incarnation! But sure. Root for the murderer. THAT makes me feel warm and fuzzy for the state of humanity today :(
She ends up with Kang, but in the webtoon she is in love with Kang from the very beginning and never shows any…
That's all true - he's learning and I adore his character and the actor. That said, our heroine likes the OTHER guy, and he's a sweet, adorable one with no real issues. There is nothing I hate more than having a faked OTP forced on me by a show. This girl has no reason to have romantic feelings for Baek Jin Sang. Lots of reasons to care about him at this point, to be happy he's becoming a better person, but that's all. You have her dump the sweet, nice, caring boy for the other one, it's a message that the only valid human relations are romantic. BTW she's NOT always 'abandoning Kang for Jin Sang' unless it's about that TIME loop! Which makes total sense. Did you notice it took her a nano-second to tell Kang about it when Jin Sang tried to use it as a lever against Kang? Yeah. They change the guy she ends up with here and that ruins it for me. I doubt I'm the only one, either.
She ends up with Kang, but in the webtoon she is in love with Kang from the very beginning and never shows any…
I hate to say this, but having her end up with the nasty jerk, who she 'saves' from himself, is TOTALLY a romcom meme, and not a very fun one at that. It's the kind of meme that made me disgusted with Boys Over Flowers. Speaking of which, they change THIS ending to dump the nice boy who in fact ended up with the girl in the original source, when in BOF they 'couldn't' change the story... Oh, noes. There's absolutely nothing here in this drama that shows our nice 2nd lead as worse than Baek. NOTHING. Kang isn't perfect (wow, a human being not perfect - who'd have thought!) but he's a very decent, sweet young man. Baek is growing into a person - he had quite an uphill climb, I must say - but he's STILL no where near as nice as Kang. All the twisting and trying to find hidden meanings and agendas isn't going to change that. I don't think it will change the webtoon THAT drastically - a lot of fans of said webtoon will be very upset if they do.
2018 - Choi Hye Mi was his GF for about 2 months per KHJ - his friend (possibly with benefits) for that 2 years. Choi Hye Mi has been found guilty in criminal court of fraud and defamation. KHJ never admitted 'hitting' this woman, and she has never offered the police or the courts any evidence of being beaten. The only credible, undisputed medical evidence she submitted to the authorities is a certificate of 2 week bruising from the end of May altercation, which is consistent with KHJ's account, but not hers. That rib injury - happened sometime late June 2014 - she went doctor shopping. First medical certificate, where she told the doctor at the clinic that she'd fallen at a gym, got a 3 week recovery time diagnosis. The SECOND one, which she gave the police (conveniently forgetting the first one) said recovery time was 6 weeks - but in that one she told the doctor (different one BTW - another clinic - but same week) that her BF beat her up. No Xrays. The injury was bruised ribs. This person Choi Hye Mi has lost every civil case she initiated, she dropped the charges because KHJ paid her half a million $$, she lied about multiple pregnancies, sold unsubstantiated photos and texts to Dispatch to turn the public against KHJ, and has basically behaved so badly that the public is sick of her, even those who still find KHJ abhorrent. She's a fraud.
I don't see how she can have the audacity to call him a drop out when she accepted a bribe from that scum and…
Now that's something to thing about. How invested was she in the relationship? Was she ashamed or embarrassed to be attracted to the guy with the lowest class standing? Maybe she did think that she'd been hoodwinked by him. I expect more explanations to come.
I don't see how she can have the audacity to call him a drop out when she accepted a bribe from that scum and…
Why do people keep doing this? Why don't you try to sound less passionate? What does that even mean? I agree with you, BTW - if it turns out that she DID take a bribe from him, then my opinion of her will fall quite a bit. Just looks like she didn't.
I don't see how she can have the audacity to call him a drop out when she accepted a bribe from that scum and…
Have you never been in a position where you saw someone you admired (or worse, were dating) do something horrific? Or seem to do so? She truly seems to have thought he did this. You can cavil about how if she 'truly loved him' she'd have stood up regardless, etc, but that's really not how adolescents work. This seems to be rather realistic (her reaction) for a change.
