One thing I noticed when I was watching the Princess Royal, is that the lead actress articulation sounds a bit out of place. It sounds very "modern". I say sounds, because I am not a Mandarin speaker. Is that the main reason why they dub over the actress/actor in cdrama?

LLTG is actually based on the era at the beginning of eastern Han dynasty. The best cdrama emperor of all time is based on Emperor Guangyu. So there is SOME historical accuracy.

Yah, specifically for cdrama I prefer historical. I think cdramas excel in this genre. The costumes and sets are just chef kiss.

I did watch a Dream of Splendor, stopped for no reason midway. Its good. and Yeah, I should continue it. Fairy and Devil, ahhh , the main actress is really cringey. Anyway, I tend to stay away from xanxia genre. Thanks for the suggestion.

In Xanxia beings live a thousand years, jets around between heaven and earth realms, and can shoot colorful laser beams like Ironman. Wuxia is more like the Crouching Tiger movie. The protagonist has fantastic Kungfu and sword fighting skills, can leapt very high defying gravity but don't emit any electromagnetic beams. This one is a bit Wuxia.

The ones that baffle me the most is the shortcut used for cdrama titles. For example, it took me a few minutes (duh!) to decipher LLTG as "love like the galaxy". Hopefully they keep cdrama titles short ! sometimes I need to google.

Done JOL1 , all time favourite. Joy of Life 2 is definitely in my bucket list. But I want to watch them when I have more time., Done love like the galaxy. Very good. Story of Minglan and Yangxi Palace have epic #episodes so a bit daunting. I've watched some episodes/clips of YgxiPalace already, very good. Kunning Palace, quite good but dropped...again due to my lack of stamina. May picked it up again. Thanks.
