CLOY vibes! Light and funny at the start and you'd be bawling your eyes out in the last few episodes.
Style is there but not cloy level yet. I'm already fast forward ing a bit unlike cloy which kept me glued every scene.

episode 1 was good but it feels like i was watching a KBS everyday family drama lol
More like penthouse with some dark comedy.

As I feared, "Arsenal syndrome". Great first half, mid-second half collapse and slight improvement in extra time. Poor script and lead female character, not helped by the rather bland acting from FL. Like many here said, the ML carried the team ala Maradona at his prime.

it's official, FL is sick, probably terminal illness .So my first prediction : open ending, i maybe right
Where? I am guessing FL has bipolar disorder i.e. split personality.

Yeah like the cast is maybe getting 50-60% of it. And it seems they filmed partly abroad (?). Thats super expensive…
Well they also actually hired a veteran western actor for a role instead of using unknown actor.

Can someone tell me are these ratings good? I'm so bad with this stuff
Yeah, I concur, its average to above average. What I read (a few years ago) is that paid cable TV stations like TVN, JTBC have lower audience than public stations.
As a rule of thumb, multiply ratings by two for comparison to public stations like MBC. A hit on paid cable TV ratings > 10%.

Maybe I'll get some hate for this but I don't think Shin Sae Kyung was right for this role. She is very expressionless…
Yeah, I think So Min can pull it off. I can see her as a tomboyish type person. Never seen her as a Joseon noble lady role before. though. I agree that SSk is totally miscasted(edit: too feminine/pretty and not because of acting skill ) and misdirected.

yes, it appears to be a toxic relationship. I was at one point wondering if he would give up his kingship, but…
I also commented on Eun Bin's recent drama. She looked too good after spending 10 years on a deserted island. No hint of sunburn etc. I guess we have to live with this aspect in East Asian dramas. However, I notice that some Japanese actresses are more willing to "bare" their face if it's required for their role. Also, I think in Doona, the FL went almost without makeup in the hospital scene so that she looked weak and sickly

To be frank, Eun Bin and this FL looked exactly like beautiful females failing to masquerade as males. Even real Joseon era noble women looked more like men in female hanboks.
The makeup just gotta go completely, to have any chance of success, but my guess is kdrama actresses are not willing to reveal their real natural face? Too much "social media stress" in S.Korea if they do that?
p/s Same also with all those "suspension of belief required" cdramas.

The last episode is a bit of a letdown for me and not because of the romance side. The bad guys got off too lightly. The Left State guy should have been strung on four horses and pulled apart for all the deaths that he caused.

The plot twists are getting silly and illogical, it's verging on Monty python territory. I think I will put this on hold. if it's a happy ending, then I might continue. What a waste of the ML's acting.

He is cute, I’ll give him that. And gutsy to have come home after his father basically told him to disappear.…
He's a decent chap, I think he will give way to ML. He will be a traitor 's son soon but I guess the king will only exile him.

"Honey?" 😁. That's the FL's nickname.I guess I must be the only one in the world on " team husband".

same here, did you find any other drama that's similar to this?
Try Itazura na kiss. Love in Tokyo. Very similar vibes. The FL is the original lovable, indomitable and and cringy main female character.
