This is the first drama since My Journey To You with a cast that is so good-looking. Kudos to the casting director. My eyes are blessed!

Situ Ling in the last 5 mins of eps 6 is ethereal. Hope he treats the FL nicely. Aak cant wait for the next episodes!

Loved the first four episodes! The plot, acting, and pacing are all great. My only complaint is the background sound during some expressions (they use it often, like in short or vertical dramas). Maybe they wanted to add a bit of a comedic touch to the story, but for me, it kinda ruins the mood..

My most anticipated drama! Gong Jun looks even more handsome in the stills than Su Mu Yu in the donghua version. Hope the live-action can exceed the donghua. Can't wait!!

I just finished the Yakuza Boss' Beloved and watching this. The FL really shows the same expressions, gaze, etc. I need to pause now and then to make sure that the story and drama is different whenever she's on the screen lol

Couldnt agree more! A Record of a Mortal's Journey to Immortality is my first donghua because of the comments here lol I put the live-action drama on-hold and now i'm binge-watching the donghua. It totally pull me down the rabbit hole lol

I watched it on youtube and didnt realize that it is actually in a short drama form.

This is a very good drama with great acting, colour tone, and execution.

Despite a bit dragging plot in the middle, but this short drama deserves a 9/10!

The first vertical drama that I really enjoyed watching. Sun Qian Xun is hillarious, so is the ML. Oh and love the mother-in-law too lol

When you talk abt better CGI and special effects in My Journey to You, maybe you can also refer to Fans of Fortune and The Yin Yang Master (Dream of Eternity), all produced by GJM. Controversies aside, I think GJM's dramas/movies have much better CGI compared to other production.

Immortal Ascension could have had better CGI if they claimed it had a big budget/investment. I watched the donghua and although this drama follows the plot/ storyline, I wish they had done justice to the the CGI/special effects.

In the donghua, there is romance between FL and ML, but it's only a side story. The main plot is the ML's journey in reaching immortality (hence the title).

Same here. For me it's the last episode. It just feels cliche and forced . I mean how come Wataru able to find the ferris wheels and how can he managed to fight the ex-manager with such open wound?

Started watching this drama without any expectation except for passing time after In The Name of Blossom ended and now Im heavily hooked! Lol
Love the story, the pace, the colour grading, plus ARP, Cheng Hong Xin, and Li Landy are gorgeous! But above all my fave character is the Grand Princess (Aunt Grandma), she is hilarious lol.

Same here. Love the first 6 episodes and then it gets too dragging for me. I wonder why they have to make the script on a certain plot too long. I wish I can keep watching the drama..

Is this drama based on 'Love By Mistake' manhua or the other way around? Im reading the manhua and it has similar names and characters. I wonder whether the story will be the same as the drama.
