I am not a big Kdrama fan but it is because of this ML why I like the romance in this or what there is of it.
Check out Love to Hate You. It is a romcom in its purest, perfect form and honestly one of my fave dramas of all time, along with Live Up To Your Name. If you really like FLs with strong personalities it checks the boxes on that and fire chemistry between the leads.

It 100% deserves that level of exposure.

Totally agree with everything you said! Have you seen Love to Hate You? It is more romcom(a perfect one at that) but the leads are grown, with grown people insecurities as well.

Soo Underrated. Best romantic Kdrama in almost like 2 years. Mature leads with no cringey stuff.
Love to Hate You might not be in that timeframe but that was the last romantic, lighthearted drama I saw where the FL was very direct with her feelings, which I adore in stories.

If you want to witness a scene, where the leads are playing piano together, and it is more intimate than any bed scene could ever hope to be....watch this drama. Highly recommend!

It's a real shame that this drama has been review bombed by MDL morality warriors who see the word "affair" in…
The drama The Perfect Deal also suffered from this. It is not cookie cutter so people trashed it. I do not advocate infidelity in real life, and they are just tv shows like damn, lighten up. It does not help that the chemistry in this drama is so fire, I was rooting for them the second they laid eyes on each other.

The quality of the acting and the chemistry between the leads just keeps increasing the whole time. The more mystery, thrillery aspect of the show has not kicked in yet tho. Their relationship alone is worth the watch, it is one of the few "grown" relationships you get in dramas.

I'm really enjoying this drama.Once again the Mad For Each Other screenwriter delivers another thoughtful romcom.…
Totally agree about the realistic aspect. That scene with the garbage truck and her and her ex arguing is honestly one of the best scenes in kdrama history...it is so funny but emotionally heavy and sad at the same time. It was so well acted too, idk why but a lot of people don't seem to like it when dramas have characters that could be real people and that sucks.

The leads are frustrating as hell, but it made me like the drama all the more? It is certainly unique because these characters genuinely don't want to fall for each other, but do. They don't know how to handle the overwhelming attraction they have for each other and that is plot goodness right there. The chemistry is fire and the slowburn made me adore this couple. Ignore the naysayers, this drama explores the good, bad, high and deeeeeep lows that relationships go through and I guess some people just don't like that level of realness.

Especially what part of his performance did you like? just curious!
Agree 100%. The way he goes all in when he realizes he likes her was so refreshing! Like when he told her he wanted to sleep with her, he just laid it out there and it was her choice from there. That kind of brazen honesty is great in shows with heavy emotions like this one.

Girl! I am watching all their interviews just to take in the last vestiges of their bomb-ass chemistry. It carries to off-screen too! Even the korean viewers are digging their chemistry when you translate the comments hahaha

Watched it for Seo Hyun Jin, whose acting I have adored since 2016, when Another Miss Oh came out. However, Gong Yoo's fine-ass self and their chemistry took this drama up a few levels for me.

The “Open Endings” that are becoming a trend in k-dramas are giving me a headache and making me nauseous.🙄…
To be fair, kdramas almost never have endings where every loose end is tied. The last one I can remember having a clean ending that was satisfying would be Go Back Couple and like Queen of Tears. You know marriage, showed babies, the whole deal. Hahaha

Seo Hyun Jin is great. If you haven't seen the drama that made her famous, Another Miss Oh, highly recommend it. Watched it back when it came out and her acting was soooo good, that ever since, I watch pretty much anything she is in.

I dont understand the hate that this drama got. It is actually pretty good. I am actually surprised that I like…
EXACTLY! Even the intimate scenes between the leads, which are typically pointless and unnecessary, made sense in this story. The first time they get together, it conveyed the desperation of two lonely people, starved of affection, quite well. Then the second time, it is slower, more loving, more emotional, dare I say sweeter, I mean the giggling?? Come thru with that chemistry!....hahaha

I was so looking forward to this pairing and it did not disappoint. It has been my favorite coupling for both of them and it would be great to see their dynamic in a longer drama, as futile as that wish is hahaha

Upon seeing the leads and not even reading the
a word of the synopsis, I immediately knew that 1.) The chemistry was going to be 5-Alarm-Azula-Blue-Fire-Flames-Spicy and 2.) The kiss scenes were going to send me to another dimension, another timeline, another universe, another plane of existence!
Sooooo....check and MOTHER.Flipping. CHECK.

Now, plotwise, the dynamic between Seo Yeon, Jeong Won and In Ji reminded me a lot of Never Let Me Go(moreso the book, than the film) where two people who were perfect together from the beginning and should have fallen in love and been happy together much earlier, are forcibly separated by a third person, who sees they are meant to be and ruins it, just to come back around to it when it inevitably falls apart.

Cinematography is beautiful, and was reminiscent of Scandinavian set shows and movies like Wallander or A Man Called Ove, where the weather and nature is almost its own character and you can feel the cold through the screen.

The acting is on point from every actor and I really enjoyed how the main couple did not waste time. Jeong Won, once he got over his hesitation, was just hauling ass with his feelings and was ready to risk it all at the drop of a hat.
Idk about other reviews on here but if you like cryptic shows(which I do) that are mysterious and have you wondering what happens next, but also explore deeper, darker emotions between damaged people who are starved for love, then you will really like this show. Highly recommend!
