Upon seeing the leads and not even reading the a word of the synopsis, I immediately knew that 1.) The chemistry was going to be 5-Alarm-Azula-Blue-Fire-Flames-Spicy and 2.) The kiss scenes were going to send me to another dimension, another timeline, another universe, another plane of existence! Sooooo....check and MOTHER.Flipping. CHECK.
Now, plotwise, the dynamic between Seo Yeon, Jeong Won and In Ji reminded me a lot of Never Let Me Go(moreso the book, than the film) where two people who were perfect together from the beginning and should have fallen in love and been happy together much earlier, are forcibly separated by a third person, who sees they are meant to be and ruins it, just to come back around to it when it inevitably falls apart.
Cinematography is beautiful, and was reminiscent of Scandinavian set shows and movies like Wallander or A Man Called Ove, where the weather and nature is almost its own character and you can feel the cold through the screen.
The acting is on point from every actor and I really enjoyed how the main couple did not waste time. Jeong Won, once he got over his hesitation, was just hauling ass with his feelings and was ready to risk it all at the drop of a hat. Idk about other reviews on here but if you like cryptic shows(which I do) that are mysterious and have you wondering what happens next, but also explore deeper, darker emotions between damaged people who are starved for love, then you will really like this show. Highly recommend!
Park Shin Hye kissed Kim Jae Young on behalf of all the thirsty ladies out here and I, personally, would like to thank her for her service! Hahaha, Great drama, lovely chemistry.
the first c-drama i ever finished. i wasn't sure if i was going to love this when i first started because i've…
Agree about the campiness of the FX, but after watching a few like this one and Till The End of the Moon, the acting was so phenomenal, you don't even notice it. Her voice changes as her character does people! It is worth watching though!
Just starting this drama, I want to know is the FL will be always cute and innocent girl or she will be stongest…
She grows a spine later on and starts accepting the things she has to go through to be with him, like there is scene where she takes on a punishment in order to be accepted by his people as their queen, and it was one of the most moving scenes I have ever seen in anything tbh.
The character development is beautiful. The way she goes from naive and obnoxious, to strong and unwavering in her love for him was fantastic. I have seen a few other things with this young man Dylan, but his chemistry with Esther is unmatched. There is a softness in his gaze toward her that is very genuine, you can tell they are good friends irl, but it translates to very believably in love on screen. I freaking love shows where the leads equally fight tooth and nail for each other, against their circumstances and despite the obstacles, it makes the romances that much more epic. Great show!
When this man kissed her on the chin mid make-out, it was OVER! DONE. DEAD. Nice knowing you other Yang Yang co-stars, Dilraba took the crown...Good DAY Sir!
This drama had such a heaviness, epic love story-ness and emotional weight to it that when I read that it was based on Gone With The Wind, it totally explained why it felt the way it did while watching it. The leads fight for their love and freedom with everything they have and the FL takes some time to get there but she grows on you. Freaking gem of a drama, don't let the length dissuade you!
Who would have thought that a drama about baseball could be so riveting and suspenseful, to the point that you can't wait for the next episode?? Not me and I was wrong for that. Watch this drama!
I found it hilarious how easily some of the issues were solved with just the money for the right resources. Also, this is one of those dramas where romance was needed, because poor I-soo needs a family.
The chemistry was so fire, I am still waiting for a real life wedding announcement. I will continue waiting. IU and Joon Ki might marry other people....I don't give a damn, I'll STILL wait hahaha
It's about a Mama Bear protecting her cubs from hunters, over and over again, and you can't help but root for her because she adores her boys with all her heart.
This drama is so damn good and covers so many deeper topics, like the ambiguity of ethics in science and psychology, skewed moral compasses, redemption, and repentance, Not just that, it is SO.WELL.ACTED! Every actor gave their all and it shows 100%. Nobody is the same character they were at the beginning and that just goes to show you how good the story is.
he can sing like that ?!?! what can’t he do?! every Kdrama needs a post credit scene like this I literally cried.…
Kinda figured he would be a good singer, because he played Benny in the Korean version of In the Heights, and although I have not seen it, Benny's songs (from the original) require a good set of pipes.
