I've seen portay of sunshine righteous FL in dramas . 90% of drama have them. so why can't the FL be "evil" for…
Please read what I wrote again. I never said I had a problem with the female lead being a con artist. I never said I wanted her prim and proper. I only said that we should look at her for who she really is and enjoy the show. Why are we downplaying what she's up to or acting like there is a justification? Character development is expected of course, but what is the proper characterization of the female lead at the moment? She is a terrible person. She and her "family". They are not morally grey, they are bad people. They target others to benefit themselves, and are not afraid to involve kids in their act. We watch cop shows all the time and sympathise with the victims and root for the cops to catch those criminals that steal from others through voice phishing and other cons. These people are literally those we are against in those shows. Let us call a spade a spade.
Anyway, I said at the moment, this is what we can see because they have not given us a full back story, especially about their choices of victims. If it remains the same in the future, the fact will still stand as we watch to see any kind of character development.
I think that proves my point that our female lead is morally grey. She's not evil incarnate.I think the fundamental…
No, that does not describe her at this moment. The grey is yet to be seen, depending on the motivations for her actions. It even says so in the definition. If we say she is morally grey, then we excuse every criminal that has done something heinous in order to survive or whatever. Especially when their victims are innocent.
I guess some people are fine with all this shit just because she is the Fl. Well, it's just fiction I don't think…
Some people are trying to justify it. Just call a spade a spade and enjoy the show. The female lead and her crew are terrible people and should be in jail. There is really no morally grey here. Second leads have been dragged for less.
Nothing says she can't cut her family out of her life or send them all to jail if she finds happiness. Though…
You say this like they have shown that she is an unwilling participant in this game with them. She does not look like she is being forced. Even her sister wants to play the lead role, but she has been riding that position. Just like in QOT, she should go to jail too.
The writer is probably gonna bring some sob background story to justify their behaviour
I would beg to differ in today's world especially. And this is not even relating to this show. I think that some people choose to use their bodies even when they had normal or good childhoods.
the slut shaming here is disgusting. the fl's character is a lot darker than expected which makes it more interesting…
She and her "sister" purposefully engaged in sexual acts with the men in order to scam them, as afar as we know. It was not about consummating the marriage. There is a difference. Saying there is no difference is just not true. We do not have to discount or downplay their actions to be interested in their characters and the show's direction.
Is there a difference between morally grey and just black or not? Just because someone is a lead does not mean they are automatically "morally grey" when they do bad stuff. There's a cdrama I watched where the villainess became the female lead. I'm down with that, but let's not confuse things. At the moment, unless the victims of the con had the con coming for them and unless this scheme against the Bok family is a revenge thing, then the female lead and her family are not morally grey at all. We never call con artists that steal from others grey or good people. The act itself only leaves devastation. And they are attacking these people at their weakest points and have no issue with involving a child. What of her future, if you don't care about the adults? And in the preview for next week (previews are usually deceiving though) the "mother" of the fl I believe is saying they should bleed the Bok family dry.
Anyway, the main point is to properly classify the character as we watch the show. I like the newness of the premise.
Bok Dong Hee is unable to fly because of her weight. It is very understandable, in fact necessary, that they chose a fat suit instead of a plus sized person, among other reasons like she was also a model. This means she will need to lose weight later and/or shoot scenes where she was slim in the past. The other thing is that we can't expect that the drama does not show how people see her weight in a negative light because that is just unrealistic. She still has her sass and confidence. They did not make her timid, so that's great. They did not use that stereotype.
At this time, I do not see a happy ending where the leads are together. That is because of her family. She may fall for him and his family for real, but what of her family? She and her "sister" were okay with using their bodies in order to scam those men. That makes me uncomfortable. Like they were willing to go so far to do that. And now we don't know why they have targeted the Bok family.
I just started watching this yesterday and the funniest thing (I'm on ep 2) is how Sang Soon is 25 years old lmaoooo. They can't be serious. Sang Soon has really gone through a lot in life lol.
Shen Keyi has suffered in every episode of this show. The imbalance is glaring. It is actually now quite ridiculous. And then even with all her suffering, there is no comfort in knowing that the Male lead was well written to be reliable. The writing of this show is actually subpar, so I cannot even blame the male lead because you know that it is the writer's fault. It feels like a young wistful person wrote this show because many things do not make sense. What do you mean Prince Jin gave up the throne he was supposed to get, but is allowing his older brother that he gave way for have his way in this type of situation? His mother claims to love him, but made him give up the throne for his brother, approved of him marrying someone he did not want to marry, someone they were sure he'd hate, and plotted to kill his unborn child with the wife he loves? Just so that he'll not have an heir that would make the emperor feel threatened? She should just assassinate him because what's the point? How many things does he have to give up to make someone else comfortable? If I were Prince Jin, after this miscarriage incident, I'd call a conference between my mother and brother and threaten to do their worst fears since they can't leave me alone.
I just remembered Reborn Rich. This feels like it all over again. But less infuriating. Reborn rich was like plane that was about to land in glory, but just by itself, decided to nosedive 20 minutes before landing safely. And because of that, the ratings were affected. QOT could have easily made 40% real time today, but see what they did. I really hope they pass it tomorrow though.
