Oh you should definitely watch these shows :D they're pretty good. I liked Kim Shin too. When I spoke about Melodramatic MLs, he is the one I was thinking of. Remember when he walked 9 years in a desert to meet Ji Eun Tak again ^_^
For me it was (1) [Her Private Life] Ryan Gold - Melodramatic Heroic MLs often get the limelight for keeping love above all. But, for me, perfect non-existent MLs are those who aren't necessarily perfect in their showcase of love. It's how perfect they can be in daily life and in a basic relationship. Ryan Gold was too perfect a boyfriend, too understanding, perfectly caring, perfectly open and accepting about modernity, perfect balance on his emotions and thoughts, AND to top it all off, what a Good Kisser he is!!! Naa.....no one like this exists.....not in this world.
(2) [Crash Landing on You] Ri Jung Hyuk - Ok, he is melodramatically loving but even on a daily basis, he was so cute and caring <3 and very ethical too!
(3) [30 Cherry Magic] Kurosawa Yuichi - Another perfection of a human being in relationships, at work, in skill, and overall personality. The only imperfection that he considered was that he was Gay. That's not even an imperfection anymore, it's totally normal.
(4) [My Mister] Park Dong Hoon - He was imperfect in his relationship. But even then, he was too perfect, too angelic, keeping ethics over politics, keeping consideration above self-interest.....that doesn't happen in real life. The world is too cruel for an angel to exist.
So there were none in the Top Ranked and Top Rated but in the Top Popular list, I have dropped Secret Garden and My Love From The Star.
Secret Garden is too old and with old comes cringey. I didn't like anything except scenes of the main couple. Mid-way of the 4th episode, my cringe tolerance burst open and I dropped it.
MLFTS was a little too melodramatic for me. The plot was too convenient. And there were scenes I knew in the further episode that involed drama in front of the public. I personally hate drama that happens in public. Too cringey for me. Overall this gave me boredom and I dropped it.
Is Flower of evil super popular? I don't think so, I think it is underrated.
I've seen a lot of people discuss it on Feeds. It's one of the highest-rated shows as of now on MDL with 9.1/10. It might be overrated but it's definitely not underrated😆
