Outside of MLC, I typically don't have much luck with multi-mystery format dramas. They aren't my favourite, but there are too many alluring factors here for me to resist. LYX is the most prominent. Count me in. Any ideas when this drama might air?
She was 17 when the drama was being filmed. She will be 18 in a week. And MDL is showing 17 on the website.
During filming, I dropped pretty much every batch of reuters available. Capturing the vibe on-set and the atmosphere between cast and crew. Unfortunately, they are buried deep in the comments section now. But if you hold on for a bit (possibly the end of this coming week), I intend on putting up a "Best of Reuters" topic that will include many great clips from the original collections. If you haven't seen them, when you do, I'm sure they'll put your mind at ease and convince you that this drama is definitely worth it. The on-set dynamic was truly special. Everyone worked so hard and had such an amazing time together. To say the set was lively and energetic would be an understatement.

Thanks. Thought as much π. I'm usually dubious about any π that forecasts too far ahead in the future. I think this one was talking about November. You see it often on MDL, where π get posted and then the leads change multiple times. Lol. I just stumbled across it, and it presented me with a pairing I hadn't thought about before. The more I thought about it, the more I liked it. If somehow things align, I'll be happy, but I won't hold my breath.

YZ always makes trouble for his stars. I feel doubly bad about this situation. I support WXY's domestic fans 100% in trying to block this career pothole of a project. It will provide absolutely no benefit to him. But I also feel so bad for Zhao Qing getting dragged into this mess. She's really been growing on me lately as an actress. I remember watching "Scent of Time". I really wanted to watch it to see the phenomenally charismatic and gifted WXY at the helm, and also the little acting dynamo Ai Mi in support. Zhao Qing was the 2FL. I didn't like what I saw from ZQ, she just seemed off, and at times struggled to find the right expressions. I've seen her multiple times since, and to be honest, she's getting better and better. I looked into it further, and she didn't go to a prestigious acting school like Xingyue (Central Academy of Drama). She's an on-the-job learner. And, by the looks of her improvement, she's been working very hard. I really respect that. I even added her upcoming drama to my WL. It's just a sad story for both actors, as they are at different points in their careers. Wang Xingyue is ready to challenge himself and push for acclaim. ZQ is hungry and looking for opportunities to further develop. Even a smaller shared lead role opposite WXY would be great for her to learn from and progress. If it was a better quality project, I think everyone would be happy. This particular project only seems to benefit ZQ's development. And while I want her to succeed, it can't come at the expense of WXY.

On-screen, I'd go with SWL. That was her most mature and beautiful match-up. But don't be surprised if she just keeps getting better and better with her co-stars as future roles match her age better.
