publicity wise- they hit jackpot. I love both historical dramas for Yuxi and Shuxin more than their modern dramas hurm but I hope this drama plot wont disappoints me.
This is a light romance fluffy kind of drama. Simple but entertaining bcus the visual’s leads are really eye catching. Not the kind of drama that can showcase their acting skills much but as a romance troupe drama lover, I recommend you to watch this when you wants to be lovey dovey haha thats it. Simple, sweet, easy.
Sometimes you want to take a break from heavy, heartbreaking- emotional kinda drama, so this one is perfect for you.

If you already bored with cdrama with high school/college theme, but you want something mature than that... this drama is for you. It’s not too heavy but it get kinda emotional for me sometimes especially when it’s involving family scenes. Romance? A great chemistry between the lead especially after watching the BTS and seeing how close their friendship is in real life.
This is just a cliche contract marriage drama but the difference is that the ML is kind and sweet + we already know that they both are very single and already attracted to each other since the beginning. So, no need to worry about love triangle at all! Not a hate-love /enemies turned to lovers like in other usual arranged marriage dramas hahhaha

It’s a twist and turn here and there.. couldve just ended earlier but they keep adding new characters and boom new problem, new plot. Their relationship is up and down ALL the time but it’s a happy ending. The second lead doesnt really a “second lead” because he only appeared after the 2nd half of the show. Idk if it can be considered as 2nd lead or it’s just another male characters who get involved with her.

The male lead look(&act) mature + the female lead looked younger than her age ( I seriously dont believe that she’s 40 y/o), so age gap romance in this drama is tolerable. It’s sweet too at some parts.
Honestly, if it’s a different plot, they both could even passed as less than 10 years age gap.
This drama will be much better if they cut half of the draggy plot in this middle of it. It has a good potential in the beginning bcus we have a strong female lead there with a male lead who are very smart. Great chemistry + their close friends are quickly adapting to their style of revenge is kinda cool too.
the only thing I hate it is it’s too draggy in the middle. They shouldve finished it earlier so that I can gladly recommend this to others, but not anymore.

I totally 100% recommend you to watch Go Go Squid first. It’s a different type of couple style but thats a huge exposure of what this drama’s background will be about if you watch GGS.
In GGS, this couple is just a side character that doesnt get much screentime and backstory but the main leads are all very worth it.
GGS cast was a huge success in China so I guess it’ll not dissapoint you!
Btw the main female lead “Appledog” in this drama is a different actress from the female character who played “Appledog” in Go Go Squid. They changed the actress to a younger actress.
If you wanna kill time with soft and fluffy college-friendship-love cdrama with no deep acting needed, this one is for you. I finished this drama in one day sit bcus it’s a very simple drama. I giggled at their interactions bcus hey, that what i came here for hahaha to see the youth love.
If you wanna comment for lack of intense plot etc, just wanna point out that this is not your genre. Sometimes drama watcher like me wants someone simple and easy to watch like this drama~~
Finally I found some good male lead here. It’s a revenge drama but the male lead is NOT too possessive with slap kiss thingy. Quite rare in lakorn tbh. The ending was rushed but so I only enjoyed the first 15 eps haha

Yes, I hope all kdrama fans will understand that just bcus Jisoo got the main lead, it doesnt mean that Hyeyoon doesnt deserved it or not good enough etc huhuhu it was all just misunderstanding! We are supporting both of them, and strongly believe that maybe the director have their own preferences regarding the characters. + Please give a chance to Jisoo to learn more from the experienced actress like Hyeyoon, instead of shading her, maybe we should be grateful that they can be good friends after this!

btw, for this kind of drama (if you watched Sky Castle then you’ll understand what I’m talking about), she aint the only main lead there. So I hope thats give her less pressure since there are many other star studded casts as the main leads.
+I dont get mad at people doubting Jisoo’s acting ability bcus hey she’s literally fresh from oven in this workline. It’s normal to doubt and questioned her ability. But I do agree with comments that said, maybe bcus the characters suits her? Thats why the directors chose her even though there are tons of much more talented actress out there. Hyeyoon is a better actress for sure, but maybe the characters doesnt suit her (i need to say this bcus many hyeyoon’s fans are shading Jisoo in twitter and thats sad tbh)
