Rewatching this and I really don't understand the low ratings. It's so much fun amd entertaining with loveable,…
Bcus this is an old drama and nowadays kdrama watchers (unlike me whos been watching even before this drama was aired back then) ; cannot understand the 'trend' that was going back then haha this drama got a low rating on MDL but a very high rating on TV when it was aired!
I watched 1 episode, and it was difficult for me to even finish that in one sitting. And then I went to YouTube…
if that's what concerned you, then dont worry. He didnt cheat. You need to watch this drama, or read its manhwa to understand the clips on the youtube that you've watched. There are much more than just those clips; theyre missing out the great background music, A+ trending OST, and a great acting from the FL. (Remember that all those 4 leads are all rookies actors when this was aired back then, it was in 2005-2006).
Jang Nara and Shin Sungrok's chemistry is off the roofs that even the writers were having a difficult time back then to adjust the scripts and plot LOL the male lead seems very pale in comparison bcus this couple just snatched us all! Hoping for an another rom-com drama for them (just like the short prequel of The Last Empress huhu)
I have a lot of characters in my head right now but you have introduced a good topic for my brain to revisit some dramas and make my own endings and what ifs. thanks!
KBS Weekend drama aka Family-themed drama which exceeded 50+ episodes (nowadays almost reached 100+ ep bcus of the short episodes due to the slot changes) is really, really good. They have a few lead pairs and the dads and moms are really the golden key of these dramas.
this is my personal recommendation:
Ojakgo Brothers (2011) My Husband Got A Family (2012) What Happened to My Family (2014-2015) Father Is Strange (2017) My Golden Life (2017-2018) Once Again (2020)
Definitely! It would've been not the best but a good one if they would've showed more about the side characters…
yeah bcus she is really a famous celebrity but with a bad reputation in acting skills among international fans (but these past years I've even read korean fans are now start critizing her acting too)but no worries, these fans that I've encountered on comment sections etc are mostly still supportive towards her. We're just critizing her acting, bcus if she is a not-so-popular actress, it's just fine and people will not making it a big deal. btw thanks for making a good article bcus you basically read my mind haha I thought I'm the only one who finished all these drama with a great frustration in my chest!
The Heirs was just famous bcus of the casts and the plot (which is mahwa-like) and whoops normal cliche bad rich boy fall in love with a crybaby miserable female lead..... in which I do agree wholeheartedly with you that I HATE THE DRAMA + I was never a fan of Lee Minho and Park Shinhye's acting (this is a popular opinion among kdrama fans btw lol).. I understand their popularity in real life (theyre cute and kind and visuals) but theyre ALWAYS among the top mentioned in overrated popular actors for a reason.
the only thing that make me wanna keep on watching it until the end is bcus of the supporting characters; I wanna know what will happen to Rachel and Youngdo's family, their friends at school (are they going to change for good or nah), the parents's nasty complicated relationship etc. and his brother's relationship huhu
Kdrama is known to be a drama with heavy packed plot for an hour episodes (16 in total) + sometimes a high production. So, I totally recommend y’all to watch Cdramas (thank you for compiling this list as I’ve watched the majority of these dramas) bcus sometimes, we want to watch a light drama with a not so heavy plot. + some of these dramas are manhwa-vibe which is very cliche but we watched it anyways bcus sometimes we need cliche in our life hahaha
there are many episodes but each episodes are very short! And they aired more than 2 episodes per week unlike kdramas, so you wont get tired of waiting for a new episodes (if youre watching an ongoing drama)
This drama could be a hit or a miss for those wanna try start picking it up now. but for me, a positive thing from this drama is we can see a new whole level of genre and CGI is used in drama, which only usually used in movie-- a sign that this is a high level production. The first ever kdrama that produced a webtoon series just for the sake of this drama plot and they nailed the almost similar expression of the leads. Kudos to the webtoon artist! so, instead of just waiting to see the plot twist, ep by ep, I just keep on looking for these interesting aspects of the drama bcus it's not your typical romance drama. It's one of a kind plot and that fact alone make me feel like those bad stuffs about this drama are excused.
Haaaaaa it's always the CP fans (i'm specifically talking about the irrational and super toxic real actors CP…
much more riot, especially if theyre paired up with a female actress. They should at least support their faves in exploring different characters etc, not creating hate.
what? hahaha really thats reason? I understand their obsession about BrightWin but here I am, anticipating what kind of acting theyre gonna show us as friend/love rival/straight men. It would be interesting to try out new challenge here.
