I totally agree with every single couple that you listed and was very glad that some of them are not involved with the love triangle troupe!

My personal fav would be Sunny and WangYeo in Goblin and The military bad ass couple of DOTS bcus of the screentime itself (it was clear cut that theyre the main roles too in the dramas, not just a normal side couple or supporting roles). Their chemistry, the on screen tragic love story bring ache to our hearts. It was very moving.

May I add a few of other dramas pair that I cherished here,

1) Lee Daehee and Ahn Jaehyun in Beauty Inside - bad ass wealthy heir with a part timer who wish to be a priest.

2) Lee Daehee and Lee Jaewook in Search WWW - THEYRE SO FREAKING INNOCENT AND CUTE??? they have 13 years age gap in real life but so damn freaking a visual couple.

3) Because This Is My First Live
- there are three couple storyline in this drama including the main couples, each with different stories and reasons. It was interesting though to see each couple trying to figure out the relationship.

4) Suspicious Partner
-this is not really an accomplish second lead couple but Kwon Nara and Choi Tae Joon make a very good couple. They have that visual charismatic power couple, what a shame that the drama didnt show that much for their relationship development.

but remember that Seo Hyunjin won best female actress in Baeksang with a comedic character too. So, it’s not really just about being comedic. For me, being nominated as top 5 alone is super crazy good.

Japanese first love dramas never fail to make me cry like a river and feels butterflies in the stomach for a reason.

it’s gorgeous. I seems to like 2009’s version even more just bcus it sets more than 10 years ago.

Kim Jae Wook’s comeback as main lead; a romcom on top of that! Is not disappointing 🥰

the differences of this series compared to 1997 and 1994 is that, theyre not into the "finding husband" scheme too seriously.

thats what make 1988 seems a lil extra special. Their neighbours, each families' relationship, the friendship, the dreams and hope... and last one is the romance between the leads. Instead of frantically anxiously wondering whos the husband from get go like I did in reply 1994, (I exclude 1997 bcus it's too obvious whos the husband for the promos etc), I cherished their plot even more.

It's 2021 and even the production already cleared up the issues. It was Taek since the beginning. Park Bogum was a new rising star, but not crazily popular enough to make the writer to change the script midway of shooting. FYI, this writer is a hugely popular one, who do not yield to actors.

Great article on lakorns. As for me, at first it's not easy at all to find articles or recommedation for lakorn dramas that is NOT bl series (no offense but thats not my genre even though they always get high rating here in MDL). So, I always ended searching thru tags in MDL haha and the Thai title is not helping at all bcus it's harder to look for it hehe. BUT like you said, it's a guilty pleasure. some plot is too ridiculous and insane but we'll watch it anyway bcus it's just drama after all.

Aside from watching fluffy Chinese drama, popular-hyped wise Korean drama, simple short eps manga-like Japanese drama..... I'll always look forward for lakorns bcus of the long episodes and plot/storyline. Their acting is crazy good; and really great in making the most pitiful character with their cries and the most hateful character with their mad ethics hahahahhaahha it's truly different!

When i watched my first cdrama few years ago, I was very disturbed by the dub and it turned me off for quite a while BUT after getting used to it, everything is just fine hahaha I just watched everything, no matter if it's their voice or not.

this is based on shoujo manga plot, ofc it will be cringe. If youre expecting a realistic acting or storyline, dont watch shojou manga adaption or else you'll be dissapointed.

Their chemistry is really good tho as they trended all the time during the airing of this drama last year.

The only that bothered me is their almost 15 years age gap. Yes, Ha Ji Won has a youthful look but the thing is that the ML (Minhyuk) also have a babyface. Theres lack of chemistry whenever I think about it.

BUT romance aside, I like the setting of this drama. A fresh setting for a medical drama,

bcus in the end, finally she's being treated like a girl. Not as the commander like she's being trained since she was a kid. Finally, she managed to fall in love and get a heartbreak; something she never experienced before throughout her whole "badass and strong" life.

The way she speaks is quite different bcus she has a very strong North Korean accent while trying to say with words in South Korean way; resulted in that weird sounds and pronunciation. The actress did a hella good job acting it out.

Because that's the main plot of drama..... about food...... the title itself is "Let's Eat".

only underrated among nowadays' international fans. Old kdrama fans and korean netizens DEFINITELY know the existence of this drama and the craziness back then when it was aired.
