it was a shame that he dropped out from School series, bcus usually it is a good place to grew big and hit jackpot as a rookie actor. BUT quite relieve knowing that he got other offers in his sleeves.
Okay I'm going to say this. Some of you ship the Emperor and the Empress but honestly no one would want to spend…
I think most people ship the empress and the emporer bcus it was played excellently by Shin Sungrok and Jang Nara. their chemistry is really good. Shin Sungrok's "I Love You" is too good and deceivable.
the scriptwriter even make adjustment in the last few episodes regarding their interaction as couple bcus they dont expect that the cast's chemistry would be this good and even trended every week.
sometimes I really question shows with good rating in Korea always sucks
bcus of the genre. it get high rating bcus even korean netizen including the housewives (who always stayed at home) watched this drama. usually these housewives or older citizen watched weekend family drama slot that steadily achieved 30%+ rating like it's not a big deal at all bcus of the plot. a classic soap opera, makjang driven plot. same goes for this drama even though it's not during weekend slot.
it's some sort of a guilty pleasure to watch the exaggerated acting and plot twist with a loud suspense BGM. thats their key to success; by trending online and people talked bout it all the time. +each episodes make your blood boils so you cant wait for next week for the new episodes.
I was just watching this drama to end soon. In the contrary, while watching reply 1988 it felt as if i was living…
yes, maybe bcus thanks to the hugely successful of reply 1997, we can get the masterpiece of Reply 1988. It's like an improved version of it? and the backstory is also different tho if we trynna compare for both drama.
as a fangirl and a fan of both HOT and Sechskies, this drama is a huge thumbs up for me. but as normal avid kdrama watcher, reply 1988 is unbeatable until now.
I think out of all the love triangles I've watched, this one was the least annoying. Just because it didn't really…
reply 1988 was putting us on edge bcus we are 50-50 until at least at the last few episodes, the discussion is still hot online even after years hahahaa!
reply 1994 was quite frustrating too BUT since it's the most unpopular one among three series, we dont care much or make an uproar about the issue.
reply 1997 was just too obvious whos the male lead so i dont find it annoying at all haha.
the director make a very good choice in casting these actor; up to living saying that School Series is a start place for a rising actor. Youre much confirmed to achieve success if you stared in a School Series (thats a reason why theres audition for roles in School Series and the cast annoucement always garnered huge attention).
for strictly no romance plot, Lee Jongsuk and Kim Woobin showed spectacular acting. it was the same year where they shot up straight to the trending actor list and if you watch this drama. you'll know why.
a good drama for the older viewers, matured ones. as stated in the tag, it's a makjang drama. so please expect the exaggerated acting and some plot twist here and there. BUT-- overall their love tension is alive and well so we are on our edge at most times.
honorable mention to the second couples bcus their story left a big impression to me as a viewer, cried and mad at them but totally understand bcus love can drive you mad.
wasted potential is a good explanation for this drama.
communication is core base in a relationship/friendship.
YOU NEED TO COMMUNICATE for the half to understand what youre thinking.
btw Song Kang really hit jackpot with his dramas 2019-2020-2021 with his sly charming handsome face that sometimes we are helpless when he smiled. damn.
this drama was like one the top ranked greatest second lead syndrome among kdrama watchers... but it was paid off bcus at least he won best couple award with the female lead instead of with male lead. That is already a huge win for the shipper haha.
btw if y'all trynna watch or rewatch (like me), you will find a lot familiar faces among their schoolmates. it's good to see how these actors have grown up.
thats why i said it's NOT a spoiler bcus that statement is there in the synopsis, in the drama trailer, in the very first few minutes of the drama. The whole drama plot is about the death.
it became a spoiler if we dont know about the death maybe lets say... on 6th episode? if yes, then thats what we called as spoiler. but not in the case
watched this as a teen back then (10 years ago) and re-watching this now, I still think this is just a gift for fans who ship Park Shinhye and Yonghwa in "You're Beautiful". His acting was so-so but it's understandable bcus he was still a rookie, both as actor and idol at that time. Was never a fan of Shinye's acting (this is a popular opinion in kdrama world btw) but still love her cute bob hair and long skirt style in this drama. idk but saw different sides of her in this character.
as in addition, the fusion in both modern and traditional music instruments was a good idea. but the drama stage thingy is not,
basically the whole plot is just very so-so, doesnt require much deep acting skills or even a complicated issues
but you might just wanna finish it bcus of the lead's visual and the OST. Thats it.
if you want to see innocent love and friendship between high school sudents, just go and watch this. You can finish this within the day.
a simple drama but with a few complicated issues (that cannot e avoided in a school) but-- some of these actors were still rookies at the time this drama was airing, so please excuse their acting.
there are love triangle but theres no second lead syndrome bcus the male lead is too obvious in his feeling since the beginning and their chemirsty was overloaded. so no worries, the second lead just dont stand a chance at all.
the law school's students characters are well made; perfect for a drama. we got the hardworking and loyal friend, a super calm smart friend, a genius, a strict goal-driven, a goofy one, a friend who always blurt nonsense stuff aka too honest, a beauty, a glasses-nerd.
This kind of recipe in a university drama never fails to make us root for their journey, each of them. The casts are also well chosen, no idol-actor, no young/extremely rookie actor. it's not that theyre bad but it's fresh to see the combination of the experienced no-so-young but not-so-old actors lineup as university law students. Kim Bum and Hyunwoo obviously the sunbae here, and they blended good enough.
I watched this bcus of ARASHI but as expected, ARASHI members are all good actor. considering that this drama was released in 2010, it's still a good acting. Especially Nino, he's already good since the beginning.
(the members' current acting skills have improved tremendously over these years tho if youre curious).
sadly theyre will go on hiatus as a group after 2020. BUT-- dont worry, just keep on looking up for their past works, theyre legendary japanese idol group for a reason.
the scriptwriter even make adjustment in the last few episodes regarding their interaction as couple bcus they dont expect that the cast's chemistry would be this good and even trended every week.
