ngl I thought this was going to be a train wreck from the comments. There was another recent short drama with do overs that had similar plot device so it was hard not to compare to that one. I found the leads to be good together with decent chemistry. My biggest issue is the sml always going past boundaries and at the end being a big whiner.
ZYQ has the visuals and talent to lead in a full length drama. He’s had some supporting roles where he doesn’t get the ML styling like he does in this mini. He should look like this all the time. 😍
I really have a hard time with female characters that stand and wait for the ax/sword/spear to come down on them. Yes, it is more dramatic for the ML to save the day, at the last second, but is there no survival instinct? Ok , carry on with this otherwise very good show.

I’m here to applaud and advocate for more scenes where they let the hair down. it makes no sense for people to sleep with these fancy updo’s . And for many male actors this is way more attractive and flattering. I really enjoyed Ci Sha with the bedtime slut strands. 🥰
At first this feels like an over the top, flashy, over sexualized verticle drama. The characters of the uncle and female cousin are a bit cartoonish. But I have to say, it quickly became apparent that there was some very good story telling and psychological development of the FL. ML is strikingly handsome even during closeups on his less than perfect skin. Leads have 🔥 chemistry.
I do love a HEA but I don’t see how they die right in front of the other person, are buried, then show up years later. It’s not like if he died on some far off battlefield and the body could be anyone. At least that leaves room for a slightly more reasonable explanation. It would have been better if he faked it to expose the empress dowager and get the cure. But no, the miraculous and implausible dead, not dead ML. Otherwise I did like it. lol.
