Super cute, light, and fluffy. I even love how the 2nd love interests initially teamed up to break up the main couple only to help them get together. The baddies are cartoonish but it’s all in good fun.

I enjoyed this immensely. I don’t usually care much for cray cray royals but the princess and the emperor were just so perfect for each other. Leads were good together and plot worked for me. Solid 9.

I finally finished after waiting for all eps to be VIP and this did not disappoint. special kudos to the stylist for Deng Kai - he should always look this good in costume drama. Not sure what happened in the last scene where his short neck hair was visible even in the wide angle shot- maybe the stylist was sick that day. I really like FL and thought the leads were great together.

I see there are voice actors credited on this but does anyone know if ML is dubbed by someone else? His voice is very deep.

I did not have much expectation but I really love this. Chang Lei is fine in more cheerful roles but he excels in edgy, dark ones like his role in My Journey to You. Here he gets to play a wide range and it’s impressive. Partner that with Song Yi and the result is very satisfying. Their scenes are riveting. Credit to the directing for catching the leads playing off each other and a good script that doesn’t let them down.

I’m on ep 16 and the only thing happening is FL getting kidnapped to trap ML. So many times.

I was pretty impressed with the writing and story here. FL does a great job looking surprised all the time but she’s got everything in hand. Good chemistry from the leads too. Very enjoyable between bigger budget long shows.

Ok I had some issues with this show early on mostly having to do with He Yan, who’s been masquerading as a man since childhood and a respected general, wasn’t very convincing when she joins as a new male recruit. And doesn’t know better to not wield a very sharp sword when drunk? Ah hem. That being said, I am now hooked this show. And that Ryan for using those eyes so meaningfully. They have each others backs in battle and everywhere else. Ep 30 killed me with the confession in front of everyone.
