Question. Is the eyebrow drawing scene a flashback to past life?

I am rewatching too and I agree with everything. Also a reminder of XL’s sadistic treatment of her in the beginning. Yes , he has huge growth and eventually saves her life, but it certainly is not a healthy foundation of any kind of romance. Don’t get me wrong, I love his character and their chemistry but not as HEA.

I loved seeing Jackie Li as one of FL shapeshifts. That was awesome.

i agree, I don’t care if she slept with SRQ in the past life. If she chose him now, I would not understand because it seems she has realized they don’t have the same beliefs and probably never did. On the other hand, PWX is completely committed to supporting anything she wants to do. That is a Winner for me.

So all the times he waited and searched for her (and rescued her from XL!) count for nothing? He doesn’t even want to be there. he wanted to stay as YSQ with her but life didn’t work out that way. And going back was her idea. I don’t see his choice as one or the other. Grandma said she would break the engagement and so did fiancé. At that point he thinks everything is great and he can be with XY.

I believe that the one who "lost you forever" is CX, so technically he would be 1ML? And ZWY is listed first and DW 2nd on the apps. idk, it's so complicated. But based on who she ends up with, yes Deng Wei's character is the the one.

I dont feel he's weak, but TJ is hopelessly loyal to too many people other than XY. His grandmother gave him the knock out drug and he drank it, the same way he did so many times when XY handed him a poison.

Oh I like this! One of my feelings about XY is that she seems to love the one she's with. She also demands loyalty but is quick to dump a guy (like when she doesnt get her wine on time). Girl has serious abandonment issues.

What I also like is by the end of S1, XL and TJ seem to be aligned in their wish to see XY happy. When XL wakes her up, it is because TJ is dying and he knows she would not forgive him if TJ died. Later TJ tells XL that he is the only one that can stop her from marrying CFL. I think these two by the end of S1 are the truly sincere.

Are we there yet??? I am debating a rewatch this weekend.

It's a looong story. At the end of S1, she agrees to marry Chishui Feng Long because Tushan Jing was forced to marry his brother's mistress. She likes Fenglong as more a drinking buddy. The only one she admits to liking is Tushan Jing and in the novel, they end up together.

Very good point. And maybe for me, it’s more about how SRQ interprets it. From the previews, he certainly feels emboldened when PWX is out of the picture.

ML needs a song dammit. Why does SRQ get them? and LR, don’t look over PWX shoulder at SRQ. Your man is holding you.

I have little patience for poorly written characters. For example, ML over hearing FL basically telling main, rival consort that she doesn’t have feelings for ML. He gets mad and leaves. Like FL is going to reveal anything to jealous SFL. gtfo. sigh.

and it drives me crazy when LR gets all speechless in front of him. She marches in to get the records on the Qin family, like a boss, but as soon as SRQ shows up she's like "uh..." I am glad PWX has decided to get between them every chance he gets. Throwing the handkerchief down was awesome.
