YEP! A lot of thing in the drama just exist to pad the run time, they add nothing to the story or the world-building.
Yep! they didn't have anything beyond that. although in the hands of a competent writer and director with such fantastic leads and a good concept like this it could have been a very satisfying 16 episode Drama. the concept has room for more but the incompetence of the team behind it makes it a boring 12 episode affair.
Finally finished this drama today and here's my review:6/10 The beginning episodes were really promising even though they were dragging a lot, it picked up about halfway through but then crashed down super hard in the end. The writer kept adding new plot points in without resolving anything one after another and watching it gave a feeling of incompleteness. The Family members felt like they were added as an after-thought and were there to just pad the runtime, especially Do hoon's brother and sister in law were such useless and cringe characters and added zero substance to the story. The child actor did a semi decent job but the whole plot revolving her and her crush on top being weird and creepy went nowhere and amounted to nothing, it felt like it was going to go somewhere but it was just abandoned. All in all a very weak scrip with some decent acting here and there by Jang Na Ra. For me it was a 4/10 but because of Na Ra I'm gonna increase it to a 6/10. Also considering how much I was looking forward to this. it was a complete let down. Edit: something I forgot to add; the way they were wasting time with meaningless family stuff and ending the drama so abruptly like that felt as if there should be more episodes, it felt like I was watching a 50 episode drama and we were just starting to get into the juicy stuff.
Finished it now and to be honest I was expecting more, first of all, the 6 episode format wasn't enough and I felt a lot of stuff got rushed especially the ending, and because there wasn't enough time to develop the characters, I didn't really care about any of them. In a lot of scenes, we just had Woo Bin looking cool and although he does look cool and I love his acting, it didn't really add anything to the story. Also, a lot of things were left unexplained and it again goes back to them not having enough episodes. all in all a 7/10 drama, would have been a 4 if not for Woo Bin and Esom.
Yeah! that is such a turn-off irl, I'll always steer clear of women that act like this, because you know that she is not over the dude yet and I'll be playing second fiddle to him in her mind, good for a one-night stand but not good for a committed relationship like they wanna portray here in this drama.
Man.. I am only on EP 2 and the scene where Bo ra was looking for her blouse and asked her sister is pissing me…
I agree with everything except the kicking her out, you do realize that kicking someone that doesn't have a place or a job or enough money to rent someplace out means they either gonna become homeless or die on the streets, you would be condemning your own sister to death.
"They spent way too much time on a breakup between a couple we never cared about" I hate it when writers do this, I saw this a mile away during the opening week and dropped. and it's somewhat understandable if you have 50+ episodes and have to fill them with something. But if you're doing this in a 14 episode drama then it just means you don't have any substantial story to begin with, all you had was a half-baked idea and you're just padding the run time to kill time.
Yeah, I couldn't handle it after 2 episodes, but a friend of mine who I see everyday watches it and has kept me in the loop, and while he is miserable with the way the drama is going, he has OCD so he can't stop watching, I'm just happy I didn't invest more time on this, also the writer has apparently made anti-Semitic remarks which is wild.

I think I got PTSD from that ending.

But Personally would not recommend you to continue.
