Ohm is insanely handsome the older he gets. Plus, he has the best legs (and arms) in BL, which is why they keep…
While I respect your own opinion toward their appearance, I don't think they need to try to change the actor's appearance such as pinning back the ears. While there are those who see his features as off, there would be those that appreciate it, and more importantly that is his unique features. Such as Drake's eye brows. I find a few people complained about it, but I myself find it raw, strong, unique, "him". I would take the uniqueness over the generic faces like those of many actresses in Chinese and Korean drama nowadays: same face shape, same nose, same eye-brows.
Seriously? Body shaming Nanon and Drake? So ridiculous and disturbing. You are stupid and superficial. Nanon is…
Body shaming and objectifying are mere excuse for double standard. FrothyMix got criticized for giving out negative opinion about actors' appearance, yet there are more people (including you) that can give opinion about actors' appearance just because those are positive. Hypocrite. "Everyone is beautiful in their own way", but only in the eye of the beholder, while the hard truth is: not all can be Miss World or Mister International, there always are the prettier and the less pretty. You didn't give out any valid reason to counter FrothyMix's points, only went with name-calling. It's called fallacy.
it was no one's fault except torfun that she got hit, she was in the middle of the road you can't blame anyone…
Not totally. A part of the accident was due to Torfun's fault, it's true. However, she was hit by illegal car racers (those are the nightmare of everyone that joins the traffic), and it's a case of hit-and-run too.
He wanted to explore his sexuality because he was clearly attracted to Tharn. But as a supposedly straight guy,…
I second this. In my opinion, the 2nd season is terrible. It was set 7 years after the 1st season, with Tharn and Type in a relationship with each other the whole time, yet I failed to see the comfort, the ease, the confidence of ownership ("he belongs to me!") in their interaction. They acted as if they need to test the other's attitude at every move (they have been intimate with each other for 7 years, not newly dated!). Then, there are the new characters: boring, lackluster, annoying, over-dramatic.
If you're new to the BL World. I'm sure that this series was recommended online or by someone you know but please…
"Like in the Movies" (Gaya Sa Pelikula) of Philippines would be a good series, too. It tackles on the coming to term with one's sexuality, the difference in stages of one's own acceptance and the important of family's support. "He's coming to me" of Thailand is great, too.
9.0, seriously??? I know it's just the first episode, but this is looking more like a 6 or 7 to me.
Each person has their own scoring system. To me, 7 or 7.5 is already a good series; 9 is excellent. However, others may be more generous. Beside that, who are those that gave rating so early at episode 1 or even before the series start? Usually die-hard fans and, exclusive for BL genre, super-hype fujoshi. I find those tends to be very generous with their scores.
It seem to me that the couple Leo and Fiat suffers from bad writing, both in TharnType 2 and Don't Say No. Fiat is too whiny and quick to tears. He cried every time something happened, even when his spoiled insolent bratty sister revealed that he nearly made her mother miscarriage (I would say "good riddance"). He can feel guilty about it at best, but not to the point of tearing up like a baby, as it's not like they are in good term or close knit. His character is over the top and unlikable. While Leo is just someone to be there to care for him. Beside that, this series seem to pay too much effort in putting Fiat and his father in good light, while neglecting other things. I see no point of doing that. Fiat has a reputation of sleeping around, and he did sleep around. Being called "whore" can be bad, but it's not like he's a terrorist or drug dealer with serious crime. He had bad behaviour in the past, but now when he has found his sweet heart, he's willing to change and DID change. That should be good enough and should be what matters; no need to give out lame excuses of the few rare times he did that to help a guy out or was blackmailed (what about so many other times he slept around?!). And his father can have his own reasons to do all the things he did, but if he deems it's irrelevant for Fiat to know about those reasons then those reasons are irrelevant too (he's 19 years old, not 5). A father who cannot arouse trust, love, respect or safety in his child is a shitty father anyway. Yet eight episodes in and they spent too much time on those pointless screen (and PG+ screen), while Fiat and Leo's relationship itself got no attention at all. No development. Still same as ever: sex, awkward outside of sex, whiny Fiat, mother-hen Leo.
Leon and Pob are the saving grace here. Their acting can be a little cringey and awkward, especially that of Leon, but at least their interactions are cute and can arouse some interest. Fiat and Leo's acting are not bad either. Fiat can really cry and I can feel Leo's worry and concern when he was looking for Fiat. Still, as Leo and Fiat get most of the screen time and their story flops, big time, I can't find myself enjoying the show. I would drop here, blame is on the script writer. End of rant.
I'm still stuck in last weeks ep. and hung up over this curly haired guy that basically raped Fiat. I feel like…
I think you shouldn't expect consequences on all rapists, especially if the victim is a male. In many places, the judges even refuse to acknowledge the concept "male rape victim", deeming them all as lying. In the rare cases that the rapist would be punished by the laws, it wouldn't be for "raping", but for "man assault" or "blackmailing". In America, there are cases that rape victim must even pay compensation for the rapist and the victim was even a minor there; and that was backed by laws. You can search for Hermesmann and Seyer case for more details. That case has became a precedent for other cases. Only female rape victims matter. Male rape victims... there is no such thing as "male rape victims", at least in the eyes of judges and laws. So don't be so worked up, for that's how things are in real life.
Another clueless SJW outrage. He blackmailed Fiat into having sex with him, and Fiat let himself blackmailed.…
Raping and blackmailing are different but both are punishable. In some case, blackmailing to make someone to relent to your sexual advances can be classified as rape, too (or at least by laws in some places). In this case, I think it is. However, I don't think it would be punishable, as Fiat has the need to hide his teammate's illegal act and there is lack of evidences, Fiat's reputation of sleeping around also wouldn't help when the issue was brought to the court.
i didn’t watch tharn type 2 that’s why I am asking this. So this universe is related to the tharntype universe?…
This is in the same universe with TharnType, same place but not same time, as it's events set off right after TharnType 2 ended. And you can watch it without watching TharnType 2, as there is a special episode acting as a prequel, which sums up and has all important cut-scenes from TharnType 2 to let viewers have a grasp of what happened (only about the main couple Leo and Fiat, of course).
You praise this one as one of the best and deem 2Moons2 as shabby, however your sentence "tall n hunky popular…
I already wrote it clearly: "as the synopsis doesn't mentioned how things change, it doesn't goes against the plot". The synopsis only say "things change", and there are many ways on how it can change, there are many ways for "unrequitedness & change of heart". Yours is just only one way of how things can be. It isn't "The show narratively lends itself to be read in this fashion until the twist is revealed", it's only your own way to interpret it; while if you watched and paid attention to the story in the series, the word "slowly" shouldn't pop up. So either you didn't watch the series and only came to your own conclusion by reading the synopsis only, or you tricked your readers purposely. To keep from being a spoiler is by no mean giving out false information.
This thread has been dragging on for too long. I posted to warn readers that your recommendation shouldn't be trusted, and the message was delivered. So I will stop here.

"Their relationship starts quite rough since Pha seems to pick on Yo, but things change". Things change abruptly, there is no "slowly" there, and as the synopsis doesn't mentioned how things change, it doesn't goes against the plot. It doesn't reveal too much but still stay true. You, on the other hand, are the one who made up the whole "slowly" part, which contradict with plot. That's why it's only you pretense, as it's not the same as the synopsis. Yours is misleading.
You praise this one as one of the best and deem 2Moons2 as shabby, however your sentence "tall n hunky popular…
People look for recommendation so they can decide whether they should watch a series or would it suit their taste, yet getting a pretense as result. Not misleading, huh? Looking for a slow burn series, getting recommended a series where one guy slowly falls more n more for another, ending up with a 180 degree head-turn. Neither the trailer nor the synopsis made such an ambitious claim like your pretense.
You praise this one as one of the best and deem 2Moons2 as shabby, however your sentence "tall n hunky popular…
I wouldn't call that "unwarranted" since your recommendation provided misleading information about the plot. Those who follow your recommendation would come expected one thing but end up with another.
I'm half way though this (episode 6) and I find it really boring. Does it get any better?
From my own experience, it's not. 2Moons was best at the early episodes, when the idea was still interesting. Later on, the interaction between the two leads keep being awkward and forced. Only Ming-Kit scenes are the saving grace, however they are few.
A classic BL. this is why we love this stuff - One of the best. tall n hunky popular boy slowly falls more n more…
You praise this one as one of the best and deem 2Moons2 as shabby, however your sentence "tall n hunky popular boy slowly falls more n more for an adorable ukke" make me doubt that you really watch the series at all. That Phana character fell for Wayo even before the series start, there is no "slowly" here.
Here is the word for old shippers who used to ship these actors with other actor because of drama . Move on shipping…
I only ship the characters, not the actors for I know that the actor and the character are two different being. While I may love the one on the screen, I may not really know nor like the one behind the screen (so I don't bother to find out). And while I have my own favorite shipping, I'm willing to experience new things, so I'm game for all the ships ^^
After watching S1, S2 felt like a put off..... couldn't watch through ep 1 itself
I think it would be better if you give it a rest before watching 2Moons2, watch other series first before returning to 2Moons2 perhaps. Watching 2Moons2 right after 2Moons would make it hard for you to catch on with the new cast, as it demand a sudden change in our depiction of the characters using the visual of the old cast. Watching other series would help us forget and move on from the old cast somewhat, then return to watch 2Moons2 as a whole new series (because it is a remake with continuation rather than a sequel).
I love the series, however I find the fujoshi character Cake to be unnecessary and annoying. She doesn't exist in the book and only appear in the series, and for what? She stalked around the characters, all three couples; took pictures; poked into their business; screamed in shrill voice whenever she got two guys to admit that they are in a relationship (I find this to be the most annoying). She was everywhere, and seemed to get a kick out of interfering into others' private life. It's not cool. Some may say that her character represents the author and the fangirls, but a character acting like some divine intervention sticking her hands into every couples' business would make the progress of getting together of the couples seem unnatural. Some may like her and treat her as their avatar in the series, but I deem her as a minus point.
What are you talking about? This is not season2, they started from the beginning and moved further in the novel.…
From episode 5 onward, it's new content, so it's more like 50% new material. And because the show should stand on it's own, it needs the first few recap episodes to have a complete story without relying on 2Moons. 2Moons2 is not really a 2nd season, it's a reboot with continuation from where the old series left off. My advice is watching it with the mindset that this is a total new series, if you decide to give it a try. I used to watch series that reboot multiple times such as Journey to the West, Legend of Condor Heroes, Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber, etc. so it's not hard for me to do that.
