How NOT TO make a redemption arc: Ignore your character's wrongdoings (even better if you justify it with "dark past"), make everyone around him feel sorry for him to the point where they don't care what he does because he's "pitiful" and in the end don't make him recognise his "sins" and pay for it, no, just let him die "saving the love of his life" and suddenly he's a hero of your story.
Lol if SB will have JB's heart in the end then will end up with SH - ridiculous! I'd rather have SH ending up…
I love how the writes in dramas keep treating organs as beings with a mind of it's own xD It's especially funny cuz SB already has a transplanted heart, but if it's JB's it's gonna be different for whatever reason? lol
I personally liked JB and SB dynamics so for me this show was good. People who shipped SH and SB dont like this…
This comment genuinely made me sad. I hope you understand that in a healthy relationship there shouldn't be any "saving" and "fixing". Love isn't supposed to be like that.
I think I finally understand why JC/JB behaviour is so romanticized in this drama. The writer literally spelled out her messed up definition of "true love" for as us in ep 13.
"If a woman really loves a man...she'll pity the man rather than considering him cool. She'll want to hug and cuddle him, fight for him if anyone picks on him. That's the truest of... true love."
I mean... if that's what she thinks "true love" is... it explains SO MUCH.
This drama is so funny to watch. I can't take it seriously
same :D I remember being annoyed and genuinely pissed off at the beginning, but then at some point (I think it was around ep 11?) it just reach to the point of being simply ridiculous. From that moment on - I just laugh at the each new "plot twist" xD
It was so pathetic to watch for me how did someone even come up with this idea and thought it was good enough…
Yeah, SB as a character falls deep into my most hated trope "saving the bad guy". And every time I see this trope being romanticised I just wanna screen "IT'S NOT YOUR JOB TO SAVE THIS PERSON! RUN!!!"
more than anything, it's simply stupid (the plot developed really poorly and the characters are even worse).
I mean, depends on your definitions of melodramatic. There're murders, but no one cares about the victims. There's also stalking and sexual assault, but it's romanticized. All three main characters died and then reborn, so that's also not that dramatic. What else... there's is that much of emotional staff tbh. Or it's so shadowed but the overall stupidity of everything that's happening that you don't even care xD
So it was brought to my attention that this drama is still shooting? Not sure how reliable the source is, but if that is the case - it would explain SO MUCH about the plot being all over the place.
It was so pathetic to watch for me how did someone even come up with this idea and thought it was good enough…
Most likely. I remember being so excited when SB found out about the stalking and actually called him out... just to forget everything about it 2 seconds later ??♀️ Nothing pissed me off more than a disregard for abusive behaviour. It's one thing to acknowledge it and have a redemption arc, but to complete ignore (or even worse - justify) such things- I can't stand it.

Fun fact: I recently watched some book reviews of 50 shades and - if we take away the sex part - the dynamic between main characters there and JB and SB is pretty much identical. He's an abusive manipulative asshole with a dark past and she never gets angry, constantly justifies his behaviour and goes along with everything.
I genuinely laughed at loud at that part! :D The writer's logic for her characters is truly something. I couldn't…
lol that's for sure. The plot from the start did really do it for me, the part I found the most interesting was JC's dad with his whole ideology about why he kills and how he does it, plus he had a following and I wanted to know what's that all about. But oh well, that whole plot turned out to be completely useless.

If this were a book it would totally be in GJC/JB's perspective. Like You 2.0

It's like we're saying to future watchers "Don't say we didn't warn you!" xD
