Honestly, the concept of the K-drama didn’t catch my attention at first, but I decided to give it a chance because…
I'm guessing you're quite young. People in their 30s don't magically have all the answers; sometimes, we too act immaturely. I do agree on the point of Yumi's character development, but I'm guessing that's why there are 3 seasons - to show that it takes longer for some people. What I disagree with is this shallow focus on the male lead’s appearance - god forbid people have their own style and dress how they like. Judging someone's character on what they wear is plain wrong in my opinion.
At this point, I'm only finishing this one for Nana's visuals and acting (there weren't many great moments acting-wise, but at least there were some). With such a stellar cast, the script unfortunately turned out disappointing.
Not me being bored after the first episode just to come here reading the common complaints only to find those…
welp, that was disappointing I was waiting for Sang-ah to show herself as this master manipulator, but they really push the narrative of her as a victim, which doesn't really work for this type of story. The script is kinda weird, if I'm honest, I feel like it doesn't really flow that well, even after 6 eps I feel like I don't really know the characters, nor do I care about what happens next.
Not me being bored after the first episode just to come here reading the common complaints only to find those reasons to be intriguing enough to continue watching, lol
I have a feeling I'd prefer the original Swedish version since this one, while having a great premise and some impactful moments, still fell into common k-drama tropes, which made it feel more formulaic than impactful. What I can praise about this version is Lee Na Young's character and acting. She truly carried this drama for me.
Character wise I was rooting for Hyunju(the transgender character, in case I got the name wrong) and the old woman…
Oh you sweet summer child... how much have you missed. Choi Seung Hyun, better known as T.O.P., was a member of Big Bang and his whole Thanos character was basically embodiment of his on stage persona, in my opinion (we called him an alien for a reason, lol). If you're interested, you can check out their old live performances - you'll get what I mean.
a part of me wonders if I should still watch season 2 even though I wasn't planning on it since the first one was an utter mess, but somehow there was still entertainment value in it, lol
Is it just me who doesn't understand how Hae In is even surprised that Hyun Woo considered a divorce? They've had a terrible relationship for two years, she saw how her family treated him and yet didn't consider how unhappy he might be? What was that phrase she said, "love is suffering together"? That's messed up.
This is a weird one. I'm not sure if we as viewers even supposed to root for this couple. We didn't get to see how and why they even fell for each other in the first place and seeing how bad their communication is, the only thing I feel is sadness. I think divorce would be the logical solution for those two, but given how there's a terminal illness in the plot, it looks like the idea is to have them reconcile. I guess it's something like "it's never too late". Mayle it's okay for a melodrama, but not that relatable to real life, in my opinion.
Eunseom is not special "just because" though. "The chosen 1" arc started in season 1 episode 1. Did you not find…
I did quite like Eunseom's arc previously, at times it was heartbreaking even. I think my problem with it started when he was proclaimed Inaishingi when he was saved from the waterfall. Because it was someone else who pulled him out, it felt odd even the tribes started basically worshiping him because of in. And now in this season he just happenes to be a reincarnation of Aramun, then Kanmoreu basically wins the battle for him, the whole "magic lighting mark" or whatever it's called is also there. So he's just the most special cookie there is just because the gods or whoever decided so.
Came here to check if there are more people in team Tagon, lol I remember being conflicted about enjoying his character in previous seasons, but he had such an intriguing arc that I just couldn't help myself But in this season I just find the whole "chosen one" arc boring af, so I can't root for Eun Seom He's special "just because". I feel like most of his achievements just fall into his lap. Where's the fun in that?
Does anyone think Yo Han had something to do with SH's death?
I mean, it's definitely written in a way to make us think that. That "I can't keep my promise" scene? That was there definitely for that reason. As was his seemingly unfazed expression. But. I'm not sure if the writer will commit to making Yo Han a true anti-hero. He diffidently was written as a grey character from the get-go, but we all know how the main leads are usually "misunderstood" and "justified" by the dark past of whatever, so that could easily be the case here. I hope it won't, but we'll have to wait and see.
I have one more question..how do you think about pandemic?? in real life and these days i mean..many people say…
Well, using a plague for control is nothing new, we've been doing that for centuries. The fact that it's real and deadly only helps who to use it. As for the people... it's called fear. And panic. Just imagine, you're just minding your business and then armed people come in and start beating people and taking them away. Do you really think everyone will collectively realise they have the numbers? No. They panic. And that panic is the reason why a small troupe can defeat a large number of people.

Oh. Thank God. I saw some comments "shipping" her with Ga On, which is messed up, so when you mentioned her right after Soo Hyun, I just assumed that was why. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

I texted my friend last night that alternative title shoud be "1001 plastic surgery"
I don't remember the last I laughed so hard at the "reveal".
So entertaining as long as you watch it with a completely turned-off brain.
I know "the good guys" will win, obviously, but the antagonists were so much more fun to watch.
