Huh, didn't think I would say this, but I enjoyed the paranormal element by the end (your typical 49 days second chance) - I loved how they didn't pull out any miracles just for the sake of "happily ever after" and I loved how the relationship developed though. Probably one of the most mature and realistic portrayals I've seen lately. I also loved how much attention the family aspects got. So for those reasons, it's 8/10 for me.
I knew rom-coms weren't my thing, so I already didn't have high expectations. But I have to say, I was still pleasantly…
p.s. I do wonder, can't Bi Soo catch a break? he seems like a magnet for bad things to happen xD First his home was sold so he had to rent a room from basically a stranger, then his mother's illness, the trauma from his father, the whole "love triangle" fiasco and right after that he's supposed to disappear from the world? Like, damn, give this man a break, please
I knew rom-coms weren't my thing, so I already didn't have high expectations. But I have to say, I was still pleasantly surprised. The plot is a mess, don't get me wrong, but I fell in love with the characters (lead couple, their parents and ajusshi from the record store) - I absolutely love the way they're interacting with each other. And it's also nice just to watch something without taking it too seriosly.
true . at first i was like song gyeom's character is what i can't figure out . but now young hwa seems more complex…
It might be the case of hidden trauma showing through art with artist quite realising it, but I won't jump to conclusions yet. I'd rather see it on the screen.
I found his character very annoying tbh. Probably the only character I dislike from this drama. That scene of…
What really turned me off is how persistent he was with getting close to Dan Ah. Texting her secretary random things? Demanding her personal number? Like, the hell?? She gave him a job opportunity and instead of taking it seriously he crossed everything line there is. I also really dislike how irresponsible he his with the job. Ep 9 ending showed us two things: he IS very passionate about his art and at the same time completely lost into his creative mind. He destroyed his own work just by getting angry, for god's sake. Who does that? Irresponsible people. I actually was more on Dah An side of the conflict, it really bugged me how he took this huge opportunity for granted and expect everything to work out in his design. Life isn't that simple. I get that he's young, but I do like when characters are more grounded.

That sounds quite interesting. I hope his character would develop more and we'd actually see who he is and not rely solely on glimpses to interpret. I would like to learn more about his family and goals, especially regarding painting. So far I don't quite get what DA sees in his works ?

I wouldn't call him complex since that entails a rich personally and he has none so far (that I can see). That's why I'm so curious to see what others think. Maybe I'm just missing something xD
They didn't really show much about danah untill a couple of episodes ago... Since younghwa was introduced late…
I hope so. So far he's the least interesting characters to follow for me, to the point that the amount of screen time he gets for no reason annoys me. I do hope we'll see more and finally figure out who he is as a character, otherwise it would be such a shame.
Any thoughts on Young Hwa's characters? So far he's the only one I can't quite figure out. While other main characters are complex and fascinating to follow, he just feels like he's there for the sole purpose of being cute and following Dan Ah around (quite forcefully, I might add). Like, what is his personality like? What's his motivations? (other then pursuits of an older woman of a higher status just cuz she's pretty). Am I missing something?
I feel deceived, and more like stupid, to have cried with Seo Jin's wife in the first episode XD
I'm genuinely impressed. And quite scared. People like that freak me out. Love it in fiction, but the thought of not knowing is a person is genuine terrifies me.
p.s maybe put a spoiler tag? that was quite a plot twist, I'd hate to ruin it for others
The wife's the major mastermind. I have a feeling that Da Bin isn't Seo Jin's daughter either. She's been manipulating…
I have the same feeling about the father. It would explain why she needs everyone to believe she and her daughter are dead, so they could leave and be untraceable. I have a bad feeling she was abused as a kid (judging by how she looked in the flashback, it seems like her childhood wasn't a happy one, that's for sure), she seemed genuinely afraid of him in the promo.
As for Seo Jin, I can't help but feel bad for him. Even if he was more focused on the work rather then family, no one deserved to go through that pain. And he already had to go through a terrible experience and a teen (surviving 31 days under the collapse? I could never). However, at the same time, I'm generally happy by the fact it was all a hoax and the kid is safe. That's kinda where my priority lies. As for romance plot for him - I don't think he needs any. His character has to go through a great amount of development to realise what's important in his life and learn to find a balance and be a better judge of character for people around him.
I knew Kim Jinho was going to die but i didn’t expect THAT. The camera was panning to the car so i thought “Are…
Unfortunately, I don't see a good ending for him. He already lost his daughter and both he and his second kid have lung conditions with no means to cure it... Even if Seojin steps up and pays for the surgery, it won't magically solve everything. And it won't bring the kid back. Such an unfortunate fate Kim Jinho has... it breaks my heart.
is it just me who still thinks that the romance tag is for the ML and FL? im starting to see a shift on seo jin's…
Hope not. I'd love to see a connection between leads not based on romance. Those type of bonds weight much more in my eyes. Plus, I still feel like for ML romance is the last thing that should be on his mind.
I also find it weird how into Hyun Chae & Do Gyun storyline I am. Which is unlike me since I LOATHE cheating and…
Yeah, I also enjoyed "ping pong game". It was kinda funny how Seo Jin would prevent one murder just for it to change time and location xD But I also realized I don't care wheater Ae Ri lives or dies and I was like "well, that's not a good sign"
No, I don't think she meant Seo Jin since in Korea wife doesn't take her husband's name. He's Kim and she's Kang. From what I gathered so far, it seems like she's running away from her past. In ep 6 we saw a flashback of her setting fire to the house with (presumably) her father inside and by how she looked, it seems like her childhood wasn't a happy one (she might've even been abused) and in ep 7 promo we see that man returning and Hyun Chae being scared of him. I'd guess that's the reason for the whole plot and why she needs everyone to believe she and her daughter is dead, so they could leave and be untrasable.
I do wonder, am I the only one feeling disconnect from Han Ae Ri's storyline? I was waiting for the moment when…
I also find it weird how into Hyun Chae & Do Gyun storyline I am. Which is unlike me since I LOATHE cheating and they both aren't good people, not in the slightest. So why on earth am I so intrigued by their motivations and each scene they're in gets me excited? So confusing...
I do wonder, am I the only one feeling disconnect from Han Ae Ri's storyline? I was waiting for the moment when I start caring and it just never came for some reason.
Maybe it's the fact that Seo Jin's story revolves around him wanting to save his kid, so it makes me automatically empathetic... who knows.
