This time I don't think money is a problem tbh. They already had TY's characters looking pretty much the same in her 20s, 30s and 50s, so I wonder why they even choose to age JG...
after binge-watching all the ep I am here to give my two cents.I enjoyed the show! the fact I binge-watched says…
I haven't read a single comments before binging (and loving) all 14 eps and now it's kinda fun reading all the "it's boring" ones xD I was completely immersed with the story from ep 1 and grew to love pretty much all the characters. (My favourite storyline is ML's relationship with his grandson and son). I can kinda see why some people won't enjoy this slice of life narrative, but that's exactly what I love. 9/10 maybe? We'll see about the finale. If I can come up with some things I would change, then yes, if not - I'll have to give it a 10.
This might be one of my favourite dramas this year. It's exactly what I enjoy. Kinda reminds me of Reply 88 where I cared about multiple families at a time. Each character has their own personality and motivations. Their choices makes sense for who they. And I even on board with the romance plot! Big time! (That doesn't happen often lately). It my favourite type of romance - the characters just work together and we get to see it. From the get go they got along and I could totally see why they would like each other. I waited all this time and only binged the eps this week, but I'm already sad it's ending soon :( I grew so attached to everyone.
I'm so glad the finale is pretty much here. As much as I adore the actings and don't regret watching it (even though the plot is a mess), I'm quite done with the whole ordeal.
i never get how having toxic parents and being hot excuse a character's bad actions to some people...
This!! I absolutely hate when "tragic past" is used as an excuse. It explains a lot, sure, but everyone should be held accountable for their own actions.
I watched '17 Again' when I was a teen and it was still fun! But not now!!If you have a chance to change your…
I used to think I would change so many things if I got a chance to go back in time, but now I know I wouldn't. All those experiences and mistakes shape a person and without it - who knows what could happen. So I really get Dae Young's motivations. He just wants to be there for the people he loves. His top priority was always his family. It would've been weird if he just straight up forgot about them and lived for himself.
Fake out incest, a clingy second lead, and a relationship that ended at the beginning of the show, so not really.
Yeap, that's me. I'm people xD Yong pal was promoted as an action thriller, so I went into in expecting one. I also expected a much bigger focus on family dynamic since saving his sister was the reason he became Yong pal - but nope, shipped her off asap. It's been 5 years and I'm still bitter, lol
I too started this for Joo Won and the promos which looked promising. He is a good actor, but he needs to choose…
That's just our personal preferences. My teacher used to say "100 people would watch the same movie - half of them would say it's a masterpiece, another haft - garbage. And all 100 would be right". We, as viewers, are responsible only for our own opinions. We don't get to decide what should and shouldn't be made, and how it should look like, and what projects actors should choose. That's just not our responsibility.
Well per the description, press conferences and all the marketing and actors promotions all I have heard, it is…
Acting is what I enjoyed the most, that's for sure. As for romance, I can already see I wouldn't care for it, the premise of "fate" doesn't work for me. I have to understand why characters fell for each other and what makes their relationship work. "One true love"? We don't know her xD

I just finished ep 1 and there already were multiple deaths brushed aside like it was nothing. FL put her life in danger at least twice only on a blind fate she would be saved by someone she hardly knows. Nothing feels like it has high stakes. That's just not the type of content I prefer. I need to care for the characters and actually feel something.

He's at the point of his career where he doesn't actually need to do anything he doesn't want to (the director of Alice mentioned in the interview that Joo Won received "a total of about 50 drama offers" before choosing Alice). So... yeah. It's up to him to decide whether he wants to take a challenging roles acting-wise or the one that would please the viewers.
Huh, I knew I shouldn't take this drama seriously in order to enjoy it. But I didn't expect it to be so cartoonish. It's truly impressive to show violence on the screen in a way that feels completely out of touch with reality. It makes you feel absolutely nothing. That's just not my cup of tea. Also, female lead? There's a difference between being brave and reckless. She the latter.
The acting is pretty good tho. Might continue just for that.

The way FL was forced to "get over" her dead lover asap in order for ML to keep helping her was messed up. She had no time to process the loss and trauma she suffused since she was medicated the whole time.
Fake out incest, a clingy second lead, and a relationship that ended at the beginning of the show, so not really.
Dropped Yong Pal at the halfway point. I started watching for Yong Pal, not "sleeping beauty", so obviously I was disappointed when the focus shifted (why even use a code name of a character as a title if his story arc gets tossed to the side). Also, the romance was so forced, it genuinely disgusted me.

Yong Pal was such a disappointment! It has such a unique premise that was thrown company out of the window for the sake of another "chaebol revenge drama" =_= Good doctor and Bridal Mask were top tier tho.

Me, watching eps 11-14: Huh, I guess once you give up on logic, it's quite fun!
Absolutely loving the acting!
