I was kinda hoping we won't get "how". More often than not, I noticed, that's exactly the point where most fiction could fall apart. For some reason it's easier for me to get into the story where fantastical staff just happens because it does instead of trying (and failing) to make me believe how it all works. Maybe that's just me xD I'm more into vague, magical realism (kinda) type of stories.

Same here. I prefer to drop dramas if I don't enjoy them, otherwise I'm only doing a disservice to myself.

I'm usually in defence of comedy, I'm even a fan of dark humor, but it all depends if it works for me or not.
Here I'm more on the side of "seriously? you wasted all that screen time for this? when you could have invested in something more significant? okaaaaay" xD oh well

I agree about the actors. Unfortunately, over the years I've seen many who are cast purely for looks, so I'm not even surprised anymore.

As for using serious topics simply as plot devices in romcoms - not my thing. That's why it annoys me so much.

That's exactly my problem. so many important topics just used a "plot device". Having a stalker and being attacked is SCARY AF. And yet here it's used just "for siah to be more acceptable of young DY". That's messed up.
The elevator scene was in the last week's eps, I think, when DJ's colleague was filmed by some creepy dude and DJ attacked him. The fact it's so insignificant that it's hard to even remember it happened is just further proves my point.
Both occasions are serious problems that shouldn't be glossed over like this. But who am I to judge, they don't pay me to write the script. However, those points would impact my enjoyment.

I agree about SiA's "romance" plots (if you can even call in that) - it adds absolutely nothing to the story and purely there for fan service. People go nuts for "cute boys". Even when the characters in a bully and an actor is an almost 30-year-old dude in school uniform xD (last part really shattered my suspension of disbelief, I just couldn't take him seriously)

Remember the whole stalker plot? Solved in a two scenes and completely forgotten - had no impact on the characters. Si A acts like nothing happened. Same with Ji Hoo and his niece. Where is she anyway? Did reading one badtime story solved their whole conflict? Also the whole arc with DY's friend and school teacher adds absolutely nothing to the plot and just there for comic relief. The assault in the elevator? Completely forgotten as soon as it happened. I could do on, but you get my drift. There're many plot-line that could've been replaced with something that would add character development for the main cast.

I actually have an opposite opinion. I think this drama would have benefited from being shorter (like 12 eps). It would force the writerto threw out a lot of unnecessary story-lines that led nowhere anyway and they could've developed the ones that remain more. That's just what I would've done.

I think if you want a real answer instead of speculation, you won't get it here. Only the production team would know that. Us, viewers, just have to wait and see.

Pardon my French, but fuck that.

I guess I'm way to passionate since I enjoy this drama so much and don't want anything to ruin it for me xD

Just showing characters act in a different way isn't really a development. We don't actually see how they got there. Si A at least has more screen time (even though most of it wasted on stupid "love triangle" plot), but Si Woo is basically forgotten. He's more of a prop for scenes with his dad then a character of his own.
There's also Ji Hoon who could've had a great art with his niece, but that was brushed aside after a couple of scenes and now is completely irrelevant. He's just... there. Guess cuz we needed secondary lead.

Don't get me wrong, I don't hate on this drama. I actually absolutely love family aspects in in. I just wish there was more for me to appreciate.

I just really don't get why even bother with romance plot in a drama where the whole premise is a father saving his child. Like, priorities??

He seemed to always priorities work over family. Only losing them made him realise that. So I'm not even surprised the wife cheated. And I hate how she's cursed for that. Sure, that's wrong. But saying she deserved to die for it? That's just messed up.

That's nice. I wish that was the only criticism I had xD So far my biggest problem is with the lack of development - both for characters and the events. So many things just get introduced, resolved in 3 secs and then just completely forgotten... I'd prefer if there were less conflicts, but they were properly developed and had an impact. Same with the characters.

I agree. It's especially weird with Ji Ho's scenes. First they showed zoo trip with adult DY and now school event with young DY because... plot conviniece? It's a mess tbh. At this point I feel like they should've just stick with one actor at a time and save us all the confusion. Younger version in present and older one in flashbacks. I also feel like the part of flashbacks where kids are like 5 could've been thrown out, so it would be much more convincing to see young actors with newborns and older ones with 10-18 year-olds.

why they dont use the older version of DY in romantic scenes?the older version was shown when he bought the shoes…
I noticed there's a trend in kdramas where they use "younger" actors for characters in school, then few years later they switch the actor and "freeze" them in that age.
Flower of evil was a great example - ML was one person during school, then 2-4 years later became Joon Gi and stayed that way for the next, like 14-16 years? Sure, that makes perfect sense xD
I usually prefer when they use the same actors if the role in the past isn't that big or not many years have passed. It looks ridiculous most of the times, but at least doesn't ruin suspension of disbelief that much.
