If you are going to quote me…do so correctly. It aids with comprehension👍🏾 “I learned very quickly that I must read the novel and manga to get a fuller picture…” Notice the word/letter “I” meaning the choice “I” make is to read the original story to get the full picture. I didn’t request nor demand anyone else follow my lead. It’s what “I” choose to do. You do you…this is not school and I am not your teacher requesting a homework assignment of you.

You’re asking me what it has to do, and then writing about a character choosing not to have sex with someone who was drunk. Take “Unforgotten Night” two characters having sex one after quite a few drinks and the other a drink or two. Consent was given numerous times, but alcohol was involved. That character had issues after the fact due to being into BDSM, but not about the act itself. Take “Between Us” two characters had sex after drinking again. Consent again was given. It’s more than just drinking and now I can’t give consent is all I am saying. I do know sexual assault is used as an absolute crappy plot point in some BL. I choose not to watch those. It is about how the person themselves experienced and interprets the sexual act, not just I drank so I no longer have the ability to make a choice. There is no such thing as “grey rape”. If you believe you were sexually assaulted, THAT IS what matters, as it was your experience and no one can diminish and demean that experience and feelings by naming it “grey rape” or “kind of inappropriate” when it comes to mental health. Yet, the character never believes they were sexually assaulted. I understand, ideally, each time two characters have sex there is no alcohol, everyone is level headed & clear minded…Yet, I am saying that doesn’t reflect life, as most people are not asking each partner, every time for consent. When alcohol is involved everyone doesn’t go home alone. You’re speaking from the perspective of the history of BL’s, which I admit, I know nothing of…I am speaking from the perspective of someone who works with those who experienced sexual assault and being sex trafficked and understands what “consent” is from that stance.

I've recently got introduced to the world of BL about 4 months ago, and I learned very quickly that I must read the novels and manga to get a fuller picture because they can only show so much in the series/movie. I also learned there are a lot of tropes that are not "ideal", but very real to life. Consent is not solely about being drunk/drinking, it is about incapacitation due to a substance and being pressured into a decision being made for you. This is not towards you, but it gets frustrating reading about lack of consent=drinking, as if it's that it. If that were the case, anyone who drank wouldn't be able to give consent. There are PLENTY of BL's where it is a clear case of sexual assault. This is 2 drunk people f**k*ng, one views the other as the same as his cheating ex's & father...for that reason he was upset. Sorry, I specialize in sexual psychology and deal with sexual trauma. I just get so frustrated at reading constantly about people's (mis)understanding of "consent". Now, I can definitely get with you on the drunk driving being a sh*tty decision. Although, they alluded to but didn't show King driving.
Wait, so you're ignoring that Uea was completely drunk, and King took advantage of him? That's literally r*pe.…
I think one just “appears” to handle it better. According to novel King tried to sleep in a different room and rebuff his advances a lot more. I am only on 5 Chapter, but I get the feeling King is truly attracted sexually and/or wants something more with Uea. They’ve known each other 8-9years by the time this happens. So, he could only hold back so long before he gave in to his desire, and in the book Uea takes responsibility for his actions, as he is aware that he was aware enough but kept egging him on.
My honest thoughts on Uea, he's a bit stuck up and he has really no solid reason to be hating on King, based on…
I just started the novel and it was a set of coincidences that led to this point. Uea has a history of cheating boyfriends. The day he met King he was going to the bar to drown his sorrows about another cheating boyfriend. He initially was attracted to King (you can see how long he stares at him initially), and then he turned into what he had gone to the bar to escape. He was instantly pissed and turned off. They’ve known each other 8-9 years by the time they hookup and all he sees of King is another manipulative, handsome guy who goes from hookup to hookup. He is the embodiment of every ex-bf he’s ever had.
So no one is talking about how King slept with Uea without consent. Uea was drunk right? And King wasnt. It's…

How? 🤔 Is this confirmed? I'm not against it I'm just wondering.
He will come back through the healing power of love😅 Maybe, he will be reincarnated in someone else's body or the fact that he didn't kill the guy but sacrificed himself will strike out his previous killing and bring him back🤷🏾♀️ Either way, don't question the powers that be...Just let it happen😂
I am so excited about this...there is so much background that they weren't able to explore with 11 min episodes: President & Vampire's relationship, Vampire & Vampire's friend relationship, and how he became a vampire. Everyone is stuck on the ring, which I'm sure they'll find in the next season...Yet, he really wanted a picture of him more than anything. PLUS, Kim Ji Woong/Kim Jun Ho (vampire) is currently on "Boys Planet", a k-pop survival idol program. So, in the meantime, I'll watch him on that....
I want to give one star only just for that abomination of a kiss. Better not have one
Seriously! Why do they force kisses or more specifically there are angles you can shoot from or not make the scene linger so long on the shooting straight on a forced kiss
This couple in the manga was 50% office romance and 50% “adult time”…like anytime, anywhere “adult time”, and the manga didn’t shy away from it all👀😋. If you take out the adult time, you are left with this fluffy office romance, for better or worse.
Sweet and inoffensive but pretty limp imho and I can't see who this is realy aimed at - it's office based, not…
The manga is different in a major way…this couple was 50% office romance and 50% “adult time”…like anytime, anywhere adult time! Since, they have to remove that you get left with this…I guess it’s implied since he woke up over his apt a lot. BUT, the manga was showing it all👀
Comparison to the webtoon's ending -The female intern was not there in the manhwa. I was wondering why they added…
Don’t forget another major difference: about how much they were “getting it in”! I’m laughing at all these comments talking about how “wholesome” and “sweet” this couple is…I’m thinking, “If this were true to the manga, it was 50% sweet couple and 50% ‘adult time’!”🤣

Actually, it's the entire webtoon...I just gave you the link that fast forwarded you to a particular chapter. You can read the whole series, if you want! Which ending do you prefer?

I am including a link that goes directly to when Denis/Diety of Temple are in the hospital explaining why he is so pissed/obsessed…The end of the page begins when he is about to stab him and next chapter he breaks down and says what he learned and why he’ll bring him back. https://manhwatop.com/manga/the-director-who-buys-me-dinner-series/chapter-46/ Basically, just read onwards...it's a webtoon. SO, it's a quick read. I don’t think the series does a good job at explaining the Temple Deity “possesses” people and the words & actions are really his NOT the human being. There was so much background that couldn't be filled in leading to confusion around the character's motivation for their actions & words.

It wasn't all "a dream"...The CEO prayed to sacrifice his memories for Dong Baek's life. So, it was really just…
The webtoon: The Deity of Temple/Angel killed him and then sacrificed himself to bring Dongbeak back because he realized the test was not for the couple, but for him. He was being selfish & egotistical in believing Dongbeak could only love and serve him w/ no name, and that his only destiny was for that purpose. Once he was brought back the CEO remembered but he didn't...They, slowly start hanging out again, as Dongbeak feels drawn to the CEO but doesn't know why...He just realizes he feels empty....Finally, he remembers when the CEO "almost fell to his death" off a ladder, not really as the ladder wasn't high and the CEO was agile and tall, as well. Dongbeak then admonishes the CEO, by saying something like "I was suppose to remember first...why didn't you remind me?" ...or something like that. I was wondering how they were going to cram all that into 2 short episodes, and it makes sense for time constraints to go this way. It was kind of a rushed ending in the webtoon, as well… but there was more background on the characters so it made a bit more sense
I didnt undertand the ending. who was Dennis Lee supposed to be? why did he want to kill Min Yu Dam? what did…
In the webtoon, he is a character who is a huge star who agrees to come to the company ONLY if the CEO works as his manager. The CEO and his brother have to fly out to meet him and get him to sign the contract. The CEO says he won't be his manager, but will create a handcrafted team for him. Essentially, this character is OBSESSED with the CEO and is also the host for the Temple Diety. When he is the Temple Diety he is OBSESSED with Seol D. Basically, he is just as crazy in the series, but without any of the background
I don`t understand what did the director do to Dennis exactly?
