Believe me there will be LOTS of steamy stuff the show won’t be able to cover the book does. The kissing scene in Episode 4 is quite different in the novel

I think when it comes to reading BL novels I have a different way of judging them than other genres. I will say it’s one of the better ones I’ve read. Also, the behaviors and such are definitely more amplified, as there is NO WAY they could show or say all that these couples end up doing or saying. They are equally matched when it comes to their behaviors and kinks.

If you read it you will know that in Ep. 4, it wasn’t the kissing that made him have a “fever” and react that way…something else went down.

I am loving this remake, so far! I am re-reading “Counter Attack” novel and I watched the original “Falling in Love with a Rival”. The only thing is Chi Cheng’s breathing the mic is picking up is so annoying.

Everyone BUT the main actress was great! The criminals did a really great job, and the reason I finished the movie. Brother Di did an EXCELLENT job of having a calm exterior, but you know it mask the true inner chaos within him that you don’t want to see unleashed. Yet, I am not sure what exactly annoyed me: the main actress, the way the character was written, or both. I’ve never been in such dire situations IRL, but she did everything possible to mess up at every opportunity. The extremely heavy, loud breathing while hiding. I have asthma and have better breath control than her. She either tripped or fell over every item she could while “attempting” to stay hidden. She fell and hurt her face, but somehow that made it darn near impossible to climb a ladder to the top so she ended up getting a nail in her hand. I could go on and on…If it weren’t for the criminals, especially the leader, I would have stopped watching. I kept hoping she would FINALLY get it together, and at least figure a way out of her OWN job’s building…like, HELLO, this isn’t some random building, but your job. You don’t know of a fire exit or something!? Then, her time to shine hits, the music changes, and she has a different/“in charge” walk & speech pattern. Out of nowhere, she literally blinks her eyes and now has the ability to make sh*t happen. Give me a break! The woman who has been tripping over herself, breathing heavier than someone with asthma, screaming at every moment she gets, and not even using her archery skills, all of a sudden has a kick ass plan of action???? *rolls eyes* It genuinely annoyed me that this is how the character was written, with this dumb arse arc. Where was this energy for the first HOUR of the movie or at least not waiting until the last 15-20 minutes for the turnaround?

The way the music director is working hard for their money and working OT w/ the amount of music in this…Although, dance music during “sexy” scenes is a unique choice. It makes it hard to connect to the sexiness…at least for me.

Maybe I’ve had too many friends and my own experience who identify as Pan-Bi-Lesbian that didn’t have the confusion w/ manipulation…the manipulation aspect reminds of BL. The confusion, yes, the jealousy, yes, that’s TONS of people’s stories, but the manipulation is an aspect I’m not use to…

Is it just me, or does it feel like this was written as a BL, but they just changed the leads…

I wish you could rate episode by episode. Then, once entire episode has aired it would unlock entire series rating option. That gives feedback to those who run series what works and doesn’t work episode by episode feedback. It also lets viewers know what episode are worth watching and what are “filler” episodes.

Great was truly as bad as his family, as he killed, participated in killing, walked away from a woman in a medical emergency, but unlike his family he took responsibility for his actions in the end. This show was *chef’s kiss*!

Realistically, Jack would’ve had the same outcome w/ or w/o meeting Joker. He had no way of paying his overwhelming debts.
