No matter how you feel about student-teacher romance, the acting in this film is outstanding. The actors deliver an impressive performance, and the cinematography is truly beautiful, not to mention the music scores.

Omg, I agree! ALSB is such a comfort drama for me, too. I've had a hard time finding anything similar to it ever since I first watched it. I think I've re watched ALSB 5 times now 😂
Can anyone recommend me dramas similar to this one? I’ve rewatched this so many times, because there isn’t much similar to this, apart from the classics like Hidden Love and Put Your Head on My Shoulder. At this point I’m looking for lesser known coming of age/high school/college dramas.
Usually J-dramas have 12 episodes, so who knows 🤷♀️
Honestly, I'm afraid not. Once in a while, Japan does produce some bangers, but it doesn’t happen very often. Most of the time, the shows and movies are adaptations of manga, and the plots don’t translate as well on screen as they do originally
