You know what, you're comparing an alphabet with a number! If you'll pay 1000$ for a apple, will you get a higher place in life? Probably not. If you'll pay 1000$ for tution fee of some degree, then you might get good opportunities later. Comparing apple to University doesn't make sense. Similarly this drama deserve 9.5+ rating on its own genre. Even no high budget mushy romcom kdrama can't match hl's level.

In that period either the marriage was consummated or not they stay widow for their whole life. Those old aged dudes used to marry little girls just to consummate. These are shown only due to romcoms that both of the leads are so pure never touched anyone.
