No they're totally different, in Goblin the lead is Goblin and in Tont, the lead is gumiho(fox) People were been talking like that bcs leedongwook is there in both dramas. He played the second lead in Goblin as Grim Reaper and in Tont as lead played gumiho role. Mythologically they're different

Btw, do watch Goblin, it's not saeguk, this drama contains not only good plot but everything in a balanced manner. You'll get drama,romance,bromance,comedy, thriller,story I really suggest you to watch this one cause I hate those contemporary dramas too, they just beat around the bush over nothing
