Hopefully they will still incorporate Gongsun’s disbelief when meeting Chang Yu, it seems pretty doable to still adapt it with the way they set it in Ep 7.
No wonder I was so confused with the dubbing for ZLH, In all of the trailers released its his own voice then for the drama its dubbed. It’s a shame cuz ZLH voice is really good but at least the one who dubbed him sounds pretty similar.
LMAO, I kinda like that they made some additional changes on his background as yan zheng (it makes his disguise more believable?). Kinda wish gongsun and changyu won’t meet early on but from the looks of it they might get introduced earlier, cuz the way they meet in the novel is funny af.
What I love the most in this adaptation is that they added some skinship during their fake marriage era, cuz he really did held back his self from touching her at all. Also, loving the fact that the drama showed early on that he really did grew to care for her and he seems much softer when talking to her (he was grumpy af in the novel iykyk). Him saying to take care of her before losing consciousness, OH XIE WEI AND SUYE YOU GOT SOME COMPETITION FOR ZLH’s BEST CHARACTER
I was so worried with how they were going to adapt the action parts of the novel but after seeing the fight scenes in ep 7, all the worries are gone lol. This is probably one of the most faithful novel adaptations i’ve seen so far (hopefully, I won’t jinx it). Also, the additional scenes of changyu’s family is so tastefully done, it does a good job of telling the longing and grief that the fl was feeling throughout the novel. As well as, Xie Zheng’s trauma, you can feel how much it affected him and the way they even add his older self in his dreams :(.
My favorite so far is how the leads are written, cuz if you’ve seen how some novel characters are adapted into a drama some are kinda diluted. None appears to be weaker than the other, hopefully the writing quality and the pacing stays strong until the drama ends.

Stop, the Mother in Law is actually the sweetest. I'm glad their relationship didn't went astray after she confessed and she actually found another mother figure to look out for her.
Gurl he better be on his knees crying, shaking and throwing up once he realizes that he wants her back, and also I'm sure he felt betrayed by her when he first found out that she was lying but honestly the fact that he then decided to exploit her lies and set up situations for her to create an even bigger one and used that to his advantage makes him really creepy. That's not how a normal functioning adult reacts when they found out their SO is lying to them.
I don't know of it's deliberately done by the production team but the kisses between the two felt so insincere? Almost like they were trying not to breath when they are being intimate with each other, like their holding back. Specially when SHM is kissing XY's forehead, something about it looks so stiff.
I'm not going to comment much on XY's lies because obviously we know and she knows her lies were bound to be exposed at some point, it's just that the way she did all that because she finally felt love but ended up realizing that she was being fooled. She must have felt the same way she did back when her father decided to pull her out from shool, she was betrayed by someone she love yet again. Hopefully, when they decided to enter a relationship again (honestly kinda she wished she doesn't end up with him but this is a cdrama) they will start with honesty this time.
I stumbled upon this movie by chance and went in with no expectation but I was really surprised with how much I enjoy it. I recognized one of the actors from how to make millions before grandma dies, I didn't expect he would be this good in a comedy genre. As for the other lead, he's facial expression is so fun to watch.
This is a really funny movie, especially the scene where they were trying to delete some things on titi's phone lol. I had to pause the movie when they got to the video part. Although I'm a bit unsatisfied with the ending, kinda wish we get a scene where we see them in their next life, but atleast we have that wedding scene at the very end. Overall a very good movie to watch if you're looking for something light.

To be fair, the production team/company behind this drama has a pretty solid reputation and has a lot of hit drama under their belt. So it wasn't a surprise that he accepted this role and many were even hyped about them pairing again it's just that no one was really expecting that the final output will be like this.
The HK arc is coming and I swear if the side characters are shown more than the ML 💀, there's only few episodes remaining so hopefully the story will now actually focus on the leads themselves.
It still ruins the flow of the drama for me tbh, even if they show his pov at a later episode. The viewers don't get to appreciate his story line because of the way it is being edited, his character was so misunderstood by the viewers because they deleted lines from the script that can set his character for a better redemption once his reason is revealed.
An example would be with the letters sent by the FL, in the leaked script he threatened his friend to not bother the FL anymore or else he would reveal that all the school drama started because he read the ML's letter without his permission. He also told his friend to stop telling his mom about the fl or else he would actually stop being friends with him. This could show the viewers that he cares deeply for the FL to the point that he would actually stop being friends with someone and that we get to know who was actually reporting to his mom. Instead all we see in the drama was the ML telling his friend to stop bothering the FL. Had they included the cut parts we get to understand the ML a lot better but instead many were just confused.
