Tbh the production team could have plan the editing more, I saw some of the deleted scenes as well as the leaked script and suddenly the confusing parts suddenly makes sense. No one would really be complaining about the ML's screen time had the editing on his story line be more put together. They managed to do a solid part on the FL's POV so why it's a mess on the ML is quite confusing and it's ruining the flow of the drama.

Can someone explain why his mum is such a fucking cunt? Other than her first kid dying? I'm skipping all her scenes…
It's exactly because her first child died that she's being such a shit mother, she's micromanaging him because that's her only outlet to grieve. Tbh, they shouldn't have tried for another child after the first one died.

All theories aside, Nan Rui may be irritating but the actor playing him is really good with his comedic timing, lol. When the conversation is getting dead serious and I'm starting to get irritated with the emperor he pulls through with his scenes and suddenly I'm laughing instead of getting angry.

Whenever a FL character is written differently from what you like they are always called annoying, unlikable, etc. Of course, she's not going to trust him, the only knowledge that she has is the script.

Many of her encounter with Nan Heng is literally him trying to harm her. She will eventually trust him (that is literally the point of this drama) though it's gonna take some time, also the Male Lead has never approached her with a good intention either so why is the FL the annoying one?

One is trying to get away from a character that has continously tried to harm her and the other is thinking of using her for his advantage, c'mon folks.

I just finished all 6 episodes and the tone and pacing all throughout was really consistent, the strongest aspect of this drama is the writing. It doesn't take itself too seriously and the comedic timing really gets you laughing also the lines are way too funny (call me boss lol). Hopefully the drama remains consistent for the rest of the episodes.

Oh my god HABAHHAAHHAHHAHA. I just finished the first episode and let me tell you something...this is one of the most unique scripts that I've seen in a while. It's so fucking funny how she keeps on dying, the production behind this drama really deserves an award because the amount of retakes they had to do for the first episode alone is insane.

Pretty sure that the her guy friend likes her but I'll be team ML all the way, what kind of person sees his friend being bullied and just let's it go.

The drama wasn't cut from 40 to 24, the script was originally for 28 episodes but the studio behind the drama was known for filing higher ep vs the actual script (said by a user on X). What got confirmed today is that the drama will have a total of 24 episodes.
Stop, this is actually such a cute drama. I was a bit hesitant to continue watching it after seeing how some of the scenes are too animated/over acted (I think this is a thing in japan) but it gets better once you get used to it. Their interaction is cute and all but I like how awkward they are because it just feels a lot more realistic ig?

Also the sub for ep 2 floating around is trash I suggest you try to join the discord of oshiroen/drama otaku if you can't access their site sonce it's also available there. So much context was lost with how bad the subs are on the k site.

Are you fucking kidding me? Y’all think it’s easy to talk about a trauma? This girl has been sexually harassed…
right? It's honestly so disappointing that most of the comments getting angry at her were mostly from women too.

I don't know but unless you've been through what Wen Yifan has been through or tried to put yourself in her shoes, you would blame her leaving. Sure what she did was wrong but is it understandable? Absolutely.

It has been established by the people around her that she tends to keep things to herself and that she doesn't let herself rely on anyone. The drama may have shown her starting to build her trust and bond with Sang Yan but you cannot expect her to react rationally when the drama is still showcasing her sleepwalking because that literally means her trauma remains unsolved so it isn't surprising at all that she run away when her uncle came back.

Her running away again makes you feel frustrated and angry but it realistically portray how SA victims tends to act when they are reminded of what they went through. Yi Fan's trauma was throughly explored in this drama than in the novel and many of you are not liking it not because you think it's out of character for her but because you hate how realistic it shows the bitter reality of what SA victim has to go through. The disappointing part here isn't Wen Yifan but the viewers especially the female one's who can't even empathize with her.

To any one who can understand mandarin, when he said that he owes her 20 is he implying it as 20 = ai ni, since 520 means wo ai ni? or am I overanalyzing it. I don't know if I'm just overthinking it since it also looks like he just sent a random amount lol.
On The First Frost Feb 19, 2025
I'm sorry did my boy Sang Yan just said that the only reason he moved in is because of Yi Fan???!?!!! This wasn't included in the book but Jesus Christ! I fucking love it.

I thought I was mishearing some things but the some that was playing when they arrived at the bar is from the OST of Hidden Love, it's a very cute detail to add.

Title The First Frost Spoiler
I'm currently Watching episode 1 but I had to pause it real quick when that scene appeared. For future viewers do watch it with some caution (I was avoiding the spoilers so I didn't know that there will be some heavy scenes like that right at the first ep), I read the novel so I was aware about the situation with the uncle and her housemate? or room mate but it seems like the drama took a more heavy adaptation of the roommate/housemate situation.
On Rented in Finland Feb 1, 2025
I kinda guessed from the get go that the younger ones would mostly do the work since they started living independently at such a young age while the older one's are still living with their parents.

Many viewers seemed surprised that Je hoon and Dong hwi doesn't have the basic skills but I think because they are celebrities they weren't really obligated? So their parents most likely didn't forced them to learn how to cook since they were earning the money (but still they could have atleast taken the initiative to learn it themselves). I do think that some parts were scripted but Je Hoon cooking that scrambled egg felt scripted at first but the part where he was stirring the eggs seems real because how can you do that for almost 20 minutes and it's still raw af.

Dong Yeon was like a drill seargent during the show which some may find a bit uptight and not fun but someone really needed to take the leader role because the group would mostly starve if the older one's took the lead. He's definitely the stand out on this show, he's very dependable and he looks so manly whenever he's doing stuff. Kinda wish they casted someone older that can cook and share the responsibilities with him so he can relax a little, I think he'd be less stricter if he wasn't doing almost all the works.

The show is still enjoyable because it realistically shows you what can happen when you're camping with your friends, you get to see who can and cannot survive on their own and that made the show genuinely fun to watch.

The scene where Dr. Baek revealed that the Director was the doctor who tried his best to save his dad's life for some reason was so gut wrenching for me. I wonder how Dr. Baek felt when he found out that the person who inspired him to become a doctor became a man who prioritizes profit above human lives, also the fact that he came back to that specific hospital despite the memories of his past is so?!
