I was very uncomfortable about ZL killing FTY’s dad. But thinking about it, ZL did it because he was scared that the scumbag father may be used by the Yu’s family to kill FTY& do more harm to FTY. He may also want to protect her so that if one day she finds out that her mother’s death was caused by her father & she may take revenge.

You may be right as read some rumors circulating on XHS that whilst both ZL & FTY were in jail for corruption with the northwest Salt traders ( ZL was betrayed by his friend Jin Yuanbao), the emperor allegedly gave them fake poisons to test ZL & ZL begged the emperor to forgive his wife & he would take the poison. That’s where ZL faked his death to carry on his investigation on the Yu’s family. I also read that the Yu was sent to prison in the end & FYK divorced YJX in the end.

Oh my, when General Secretary Yu started to sacrifice his own son & started on this show, I was thinking poor ZL he is no match to Yu in terms of scheming & was too emotional when FTY’s name was mentioned. FTY is his weakness so anyone would think that for personal reasons ZL would frame General Secretary Yu. Just Like Yu father was alluding to FTY about the egg ( young ZL) crashing against the stone (Yu’s empire), it will only crack itself so this was warning against ZL & FTY.

Agree, some Chinese fans on XHS explained about the burden he is taking on by killing Fu father to prevent him from killing FTY given that he already killed her mum. ZL is doing this so that FTY doesn’t have to take revenge on him for her mum.

Do you mean Mo Yi is working with the Yu through Madam Wu? There is another video showing Mr Yu blaming things on his son YJX, in court, I’m not quite sure.

Perhaps tomorrow? I rewatched the end of episode 29 & FTY was seen kneeling & talking to a lady saying that ZL comes from the northwest so she could not remain silent & not help ZL. Commander Wang gave ZL the evidence about the Yu’s corruption & YJX asking his father why did he commit such crime given his position. I am trying to piece things together lol. This stresses me out.

So I saw some photos of FTY being handcuffed on XHS in the perhaps tomorrow episode? Jin Yuanbao, ZL’s friend was forced by Minister Yu in blaming ZL of colluding with the merchants & squeezed the salt traders so both ZL & FTY are in prison, what? Wow, what a rollercoaster for both ZL & FTY, they can’t get a bit of rest after the wedding?
