You could see that she is a gold digger from afar. Oh, the scene in the car when she noticed XQ’s photo with her brother and tried to put her hair down to make her look like XQ is disturbing for me.

XQ’s mother is a horrible and am surprised that she is still compliant.

I’m also Asian and I am against controlling parents. Every child has their right to decide for themselves either their love life or work.

I used to work for a Japanese company & travelled to Tokyo often for work and my Japanese colleagues told me that after 26 years old, the Japanese women are considered old. My mum got married young & had her first child at 19 old. Being an Asian growing abroad, we see things slightly differently but I still respect & understand our culture.

Whilst I dislike the Meng family and thought that they also have too much screens time but I can understand that they are there to show he past, present and the ways in which XQ hesitates with SY is due to their toxic relationship and suppression but Ye Zi popping up in the scenes are a bit too much for me. Anyway, enough of my rant and hope that our main leads have some characters development soon.

I like JY, he is honest, straight forward and cracks me up when he trolls SY. One thing I am just wondering, what is her deal with the girl who is SY’s cousin friend want from XQ’s creepy adoptive brother? Money, position from the Meng’s family? There is something about her that puts me off and cannot put my finger on? I understand that you read the novel, could you possibly le me know what is her deal please?

Unfortunately, from the trailer or preview there was scene where he said to her that he loves her and let’s be together. I want her to chase after him but not him another time like you have just mentioned.
