Points to remember-
FL refused the gift to SML.
She told ML to return the tiffin to SML.

To any of the stupid people who said her speaking to SML was equivalent to cheating, she should maintain distance, she is wrong bla bla bla! FL here is one of the best written female leads, Modern Chinese Drama has ever seen! Use your minds next time, have a proper understanding that junior employees cannot always refuse a senior from another company who is cooperating with them. That doesn't mean FL wouldn't do the right thing!

ML went gave the tiffin to SML, but did not declare that he is her boyfriend now, but indicated, him bringing the tiffin is enough of an indication for the SML to understand, hence he understood and told his father that its his wishful thinking only, also to kind of protect her(which I don't think he can but whatever).
ML also did not tell his mother the truth, because he doesn't want to. FL and ML are having a private relationship, they do not want others to know, ML especially doesn't want people to know that he has a girlfriend or who she is, for her own safety!

Senior Pei is making me mad with every passing episode! How is such kind of assault even okay? I cannot imagine when Pei Zen was younger, how much more pain he had to suffer in the hands of this monster. I mean that's his own son. Thank God ML is not obligated to that man!
If someone treats their own son like this, if ML stayed and grew up there, I don't know what he would have done with him.
But again now that he knows who FL's father is, if he provokes FL against ML, I will loose all sympathy for him. Start having your redemption now, do better!

On the side note- Love ML and SML's interactions! Also I am happy about the fact that despite of us being in the last few episodes where the big reveal is going to happen, it doesn't take away much from the romance!

Second leads are so fine, I am glad they are having good friendship instead of straightway romance! About our babies, I can go on and on! ML was flabbergasted when he saw second couple would join them, baby thought he would enjoy the time alone with FL, hehe lol! The dating era is being served so well! I am so loving this! This is going to be such a rewatchable drama! I will remember it for a very very long time!

Same! Same! The dating era is being served so well that it does not even feel that it is dating era!

It seems so effortless! The scenes are really well written, for sure they are amazing actors! I am so glad they got a good script to do this well!

No that is after breakup, post makeup scene!

I had to pause to come and write this. This cannot be first week dating life, this is the newlywed life of our leads! They are so homely & domesticated! I love them more than I can explain!

Oh! Don't get me even started on this! I share same sentiments! The last time I was this obsessed with a drama was in July 2025, I will cry after this ends!

I get you. But its not that simple. We as audience might feel so, and I completely agree. But think about a man, who is never able to walk again properly, who looses his best friend, can such a man really forgive the person responsible for it. Will such a man really like if his own daughter chooses to be with the son of the person's responsible. Its difficult for him to do so!
I agree ML and his mother should not be blamed. But people do keep grudges! Its difficult. It will be weird if everyone is like so what my family members died, its not your mistake, yes my daughter can marry the son of the man I hated the most!
When you loose someone close, nothing else matters than the grievance behind it. Such people loose capacity to think logically. I am not supporting her father or something, but I am trying to analyze the character behind it. Plus because its for an episode and half, I feel its okay, its not in the last episode, they do it before, I completely get it! Its not very white or black. ML, FL, FL's father everyone need to think about it properly, sort their ideas, and then take a decision. Just my opinion!

That would make FL's father a bad person, I don't think the drama will take the route. Plus FL's father deeply misses his best friend who died in the accident, so that would mean he betrays his best friend too! I think FL's father asks her to breakup because he holds ML's father responsible for the accident!

It might still isn't a very big thing. I mean stealing some money cannot fuel such resentment. Yes but as you said it can be more about how SML has to put on with his dad while ML doesn't have to.

If they makeup in ep 26 after the fire incident, then is it the kiss of ep 25, a dream sequence? I thought they will make it up in 25 because it has a kiss! But lets see!

ML's father was a chief architect of a stadium, which collapsed when ML was around 10 years old. Many people died, some got injured. Everyone blamed ML's father for not taking necessary safety measures. He died by suicide. ML believes that his father wasn't responsible but his business partner was, who now has married ML's mother. FL's father was an engineer in that project, and his leg was seriously injured, he had to go through multiple surgeries, and he cannot still walk properly. FL's father's best friend even died in that accident when his wife was pregnant. So all of them blame ML's father. Both FL and ML are not aware of this connection between them. ML has not told anything about his past to FL. But it seems they would know this by ep 24, and FL's father would force a breakup, he will also go through a surgery again, prompting FL to choose him over ML at the moment. But he recovers, FL convinces him and they get together after one episode in ep 25.

You are not up to date are you! I almost spoiled it! Yeah if they keep the breakup short for 1.5 episodes as we think, I will consider the breakup making sense!

In ep 24 yes, it should be sorted by ep 25 end, because we have a kiss in ep 25. Ep 26,27 and 28 have many kisses, so no worries then!

I do agree partially! I really want to see till e 28 before analyzing his character. The makers have till now not shown any kind of past incident that would show the reason of hostility between the two step brothers! I thought maybe he didn't like his father remarrying! But he is really respectful towards his step mother, and this is just not in front of ML. SML and ML's mom have scenes, and every time it felt he genuinely cares and respects her. He is good to the factory workers, tells them the right thing. So why this anger towards ML?
I really feel he felt that despite all the resources received by him, and nothing received by ML still ML turning better later, continuous competition by his father resulted in this! During the Layman's competition result, I always felt SML wanted ML to loose, he had no such great plan to win himself! He wants to bully ML, call him names, hurt him by words, which gives SML great satisfaction. I feel he wants his step brother's attention more than anything else!
I believe he can have redemption arc! But I really need a scene where he actually opens up about why he hated ML so much!
