Do not think her age is being targeted. Think is just the fact that she does appear to be her actual age (38)…
Also , in Double, despite the age gap, they had brilliant chemistry. The FL looked her age, and acted really well. But Double was really done well in terms of direction and editing, It had such aesthetic vibe. In this drama, they have done such bad editing in various parts. I never had problems with age gap honestly, they are doing acting, its not real. FL's expression is the problem in this drama, and also lack of chemistry.
She's too mature(her emotional scenes)🫣Also,she always seek Princess help.I can't with Ml,his sad expression…
Her character is supposed to be way more mature. They have made her a lot less mature than the novel. I have no problem with her character. Its normal she rejects ML, it breaks my heart for him, but I get that from her perspective. I don't know about Shilan, but I really like the three siblings. Hoping for a happy ending for the three of them. Victoria Song's fighting scenes are good, but rest of the time, during peak emotional scenes, her expressions is not readable, there is a constant blank expression.
Honestly I am really sad about their love being revealed to the society this soon. I mean I think she just accepts him in ep 23 (according to the teaser), and everybody knows about that in the next episode? The best part of the novel was them hiding their affair, sneaking into each other's room to romance, the entire part was so sweet. I really wanted the makers to show those, before their affair getting leaked. Also I think the novel's Wei Yun's mother's character got into his elder sister in law in the drama. I don't blame her though, this was pretty obvious. Also why tf her ex got divorced? What was the entire point then of him being married? So he married a girl who loved him got the minister's position and then left her, and then proposed the ex. Excellent! Yes I know her father threatened him, but the girl did not know, she truly loved him. The character gets annoying more and more just like the novel. Also Victoria Song's expressions still are blank, it has no improvement. Huhh, it just takes away the essence of romantic/emotional scenes. End of my rant! ;)
Exactly, there was no requirement of that fake sunset scene, it was very badly edited. Honestly it felt as if…
See, its entertainment, anything that works for you is great. Different people different opinions, at the end of the day, if it gives you happiness, then it doesn't even matter if other people criticize it. For me this year's favourite drama was Legend of the Female General, though it was immensely popular, it got criticisms later saying other female general dramas were better, but for me everything in it was happy nice, fight sequences good, I loved it, also the insane chemistry. Because its a free public platform, people would have diverse opinions, but honestly whatever suits you the best.
ep 19 : we all knew the confession would go down like this. ML is ready to fight for their love, I hope we really…
Exactly, there was no requirement of that fake sunset scene, it was very badly edited. Honestly it felt as if 5-6 power rangers were coming back, they couldn't make it cool, it became funny. There are other scenes too, I think the editing is not done well in many parts of the drama.
I can’t stand him lol. does he die in the novel?
In the novel, they got pregnant way before their marriage. They got married almost at the last chapter. But I think he just believed that ML fell for her, he refused to believe FL was in love with ML. But after repeated rejections from FL, he realized. By the end he ML and FL became a group and really helped each other. The drama might do things differently, I don't think they would show pregnancy before marriage. Also novel ex was not married, here in the drama he is married. His wife loves him a lot, even in today's teaser she protects him from her father. I think they would show him having change of heart and moving on with his wife.
Yeah I even mentioned in those comments, and now I am more certain, it doesn't seem the drama will follow the novel. Also they do not have so much time to showcase all that. He can be a villain, but sure will be weakened.
While its a very popular drama, excellent in writing, direction, acting, chemistry, everything, while rewatching I really wanted to mention that how good Jiu Yue and Ye Shi Jie were. They were so deeply in love with the leads, but never had any ulterior motives. Maybe this is the only drama, where people who were in love with leads, never did anything wrong, but just supported them and were good friends. Especially Jiu Yue, I really felt bad for her. Maybe this is why this drama is far different and better than the rest.
you're not wrong, but taken separately, ML is heavily exuding feromones lauched by testosterone even through the…
I felt she has some feelings too, especially when she gave him a flower while being drunk and told him he was charming more than the flowers, then they also showed us flashback of all their moments, from FL's perspective, so I felt maybe being drunk brought out her feelings. The next day she wasn't very happy about the matchmaking scenario- but her expressions were weird I don't understand if wanted to portray disappointment, jealousy or casual. In the teasers, she can reject him, but she isn't shocked, shy, happy or even disappointed. She as a character can choose not to fall in love, but at least have a right expression for others to understand. And yes, by episode 19, if she doesn't showcase any feelings, it would be totally one sided then. Even in the novel, for many episodes, it one sided so maybe they choose to follow it.
Is it just me, or her expression is getting more and more expressionless? The 1st 6 episodes were good. The brothers,…
Same. I really like the ML. Firstly according to the novel, FL should be really be a matured woman. ML is supposed to be the one a little childish who grows with her help. In the drama, she doesn't seem to be a very matured woman by her antics, I am not criticizing that, its just what I felt, makers can change her character. But since last two episodes, I am not feeling very connected to her expressions. I don't think today's drunk scenes were played out well. In ep 15, when women came to see ML for his marriage, I did not understand by her emotions- if she was jealous, disappointed, or casual about it. The teasers, though I really liked the closeness, I am unable to figure out what she wants, like even when the ML is confessing his love, 2 times, I don't understand the meaning of the expression on her face. Its really blank kind of. But I mean no offence, and just because I don't like, that doesn't make her a bad actor. But I did feel the same as you said.
Haha, that can happen. But that scene was in the trailer as well, honestly I thought it was actually their marriage scene, but its so early, so I guess it is either a dream, or I don't know how straight after falling from a cliff they went on to marriage. Also because they are wearing the same marriage clothes while he confesses to her again in the teaser of ep 19. Let's see what they do with it.
