Okay I don't know if they will answer this question or not in the future episodes, but did they tell us or even indicate to us, what was the imperial edict doing with Yeli's mother? Like why would she have it, why will Mo Xiowen give his edict to her, instead of keeping it with him.
but in the double i was so put off by the princess....ugh!!! so unbearable....comparatively prince li is a hundred…
Ahh Princess Wan Ning. I loved her, I hated her to death. The actress? Ohh my God, splendid acting. She creeped me out, made me feel bad about her background, made me hate her, made me sympathized, made me pity her, I enjoyed her downfall, forever etched in my memory. Only if Prince Li could be even 10% of what she was. Ahh!
Absolutely agree The Double was political, female centric but did not take away from ML, I can also rewatch each…
So true. It was purely organic for me. I did know the actors when I first watched it, I had no information. It just impressed me so well, that even now, any political drama I watch, I have a tendency to compare it with The Double, in a good way for sure.
I love that this drama's political angle is able to give me the same feels.
lol when the truck kun came for grandpa AND his gf at the same time and Cha Se Gye is still thrown off by Mun…
FL was drugged by her friend/the extra/supporting actress, not by Mundo.
Also ML seems to be having a plan, he is able to infiltrate the resort project, he also made a deal with the police (something they did not let the audience hear). Its normal tendencies for dramas, they will make ML win in climax, to give a dramatic effect.
Even though the way she has admiration for him from the start of the story is apparent, it's so nice to get confirmation…
I thought she always had admiration for him since he saved her. She also had favours to repay to him and his family. So curing his leg, helping his sister in law and nephew all these things, I can consider as admiration or repayment. But hugging him, keeping her head on his lap numerous times, holding his hands to sleep, listening to him when he called out to her when she was about to...... All of this indicates she loves him, its just that she is emotionally conflicted, but the love is still there.
Is Yeli trying to pretend that the entire thing (with grandma, at night) did not happen in front of MXY, or she genuinely forgot it? She has confused me so much. I will be guessing the former.
Bai Lu says Mo Xiu Yao is Yeli's first love. He saved her in the past so when she knew she got married to him, she felt happy inside, not only to pay him favors but also because she liked him since then. https://x.com/KC_petrichor/status/2066416096639689081?s=20
In episode 14, I felt MXY either recognized MJL's eyes, or was at least suspicious about him. Yes though his face was covered, when MJL and MXY stared at each other, MJL's eyes had a little fear of getting caught, and MXY's eyes had a feel of recognition. I don't know maybe just me.
I love how everyone is a good actor here. I am impressed by everyone, even the supporting actors who have the least screentime, also have such a good screen presence. That's how you make a good drama. Generally, I get dissatisfied with episodes where leads have no screen time together, but not here honestly. Yes I love when they have screentime, but even when they are doing their own stuff, or there are other actors doing their own things, chaos, politics, I love it here. I very intrigued by it. Like the entire episode 14, leads had no screentime together, but I loved the episode.
I think last I felt like this for "The Double" where I was so interested in the politics as well, with for sure amazing leads. Both of them being female centric dramas, but did not reduce male leads as a plot device. I am super impressed by the director. I am so hooked.
Despite my understanding of Prince Li's childhood, and even my sympathy towards it (ignoring his whiny and annoying behaviour), I will understand if he decides to form a coup, and go against the palace. But what justifies killing that innocent guy, what was his name Yuan something? Did Prince Li suffer more than Yeli or MXY? The three of them have suffered a lot. Yes MXY wants to achieve that through "correct" measures, wants to get justice. Yeli wants revenge, and she takes it on her own, her justice on her own terms. But neither of them are killing innocent people for that. That guy was not corrupt, he wanted to give evidence against Marquis Muyang, he was good person, innocent. MJL could kidnap him, if he didn't want the truth to come out this fast. He killed him, so that the blame goes to Marquis Muyang. That's why even with my sympathy, its just like 'Deng Kai's' character from POJ (minus that obsessive thing), Prince Li is not suitable for winning the coup, or of being a good person. Because if revenge makes you a pathetic person, then there would be no difference left between the the victim and the criminal.
Someone in X wrote- "maybe, just maybe, the meaning of making mo xiuyao a cripple in the beginning is that he is there, stuck in the deep sand, where he holds the thread which anchors her, supports her, without questions" I love how some people articulate their thoughts so well. The hug scene was so beautiful.
She was crazy, craziest. I am scared. But I don't understand her role now honestly. The edict was disappeared…
5000 people would disagree then. But I have no problem. Give my Yeli and MXY happiness, with or without throne. Its just wishful thinking, we should have gotten Reuters if that happened. Nahh.
Hold on @Ti02 thanks for reminding me But i saw the cast list and saw Su Zui Die ...now we are about to get "beauty…
She was crazy, craziest. I am scared. But I don't understand her role now honestly. The edict was disappeared by her. Here, they have another edict, but its done by Ye family. So, what's going to be her role except for wanting Mo Xiu Yao back. Another annoying ex, cut me some slack.
I have a theory, I have a theory, more like a wishful thinking. Do you remember the edict Sui zuidie took away. What if she did the same here. Do you remember what was written in that edict. The novel did not entirely go that way, but the drama can. Yeli was always supposed to be the Queen. If everything went fine, if Mo Jingli had become the Emperor, she would be the Queen. But that did not happen. Mo Jingli is going to loose now, kid emperor is not so capable. Our Mo Xiu Yao's legs are going to be okay. What if in the drama takes this route!!! I am screaming.
